Great value!
For my birthday, decided to upgrade my old irons. After some research I decided on these CW Mavriks. Was not really keen on spending north of 1K on irons (I'm not that good) so I pulled the trigger. Two things I should mention, one is that they are light and the lofts are slightly lower than standard so that takes some getting use to. However, they are so far anyway a nice upgrade, forgiving and pretty long hitting. Great value for a premium brand.

Very happy customer
I was worried I wasn't going to like my clubs, but was gladly impressed. These are similar to my old clubs just a little chunkier. I went with the steel shafts cause I have a fast swing and feels balanced. I haven't hit with them yet but feel great. The big issue I heard was getting the ball to stick on green with low spins but I don't have a problem getting ball up so hopefully that's not a problem. Love that look of this back and this orangish gold color.

Best irons yet!
I am about as fickle as they come with golf equipment. I can NEVER find irons that respond the way I think they should. Some irons I’ve tried feel way too “hard” or firm when striking the ball and causes too low trajectory and uncontrollable shots, while others feel way too “soft” and shots inevitably come up short.These Callaway Mavericks are situated perfectly between those two poles. The ball easily goes 10-20% farther than my current irons (Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal) and with a nice high trajectory and soft landing. Honestly, I’ve never had a better set of irons. I’ve lowered my index from a 15.9 to an 8.8 and am going lower. Very pleased!

Would have been amazing… if they were all left-handed!
Frustration! A lot of $ to pay for a set to have one club right-handed. Absolutely would have returned it but it was for my son on his 18th birthday and he opened it on a trip to golf for the weekend . So, now his set is short an 8 iron!
