Love
The Ethique Shampoo Bar is a great eco-friendly swap that lathers well and leaves my hair clean and soft. It’s long-lasting, smells nice, and I love that it cuts down on plastic. A solid choice if you’re going low-waste!

Great product & earth conscious
First time user. Bought for traveling. It was weird at first, especially with long hair, but it lathered right up. I really really like the way my hair felt after using these. My hair was clean, soft, shiny and smelled fresh, not scented. Would highly recommend. However, they need to make a travel soap dish!

St. Clements is the holy grail for combo hair
I’ve tried literally 20+ shampoos to try and tame my hair. I have particularly difficult hair (very thick combo curly/wavy, oily/frizzy medium porosity) and have been on a quest for shampoo that actually makes my hair manageable. This shampoo bar completely cleanses my hair of oil and product/mineral buildup and still manages to not strip my hair completely of moisture, which in turn makes my hair less likely to tangle and reduces frizz. I wouldn’t recommend this for everyday use but i only wash my hair once a week ideally to prevent hair damage. Within two weeks (two washes) I have noticed my hair is a lot more manageable and generally less oily. Even after a few days my hair is still not overly greasy. The bar has a mild citrus scent that is not overwhelming at all as approved by my scent sensitive family. The scent still lingers enough that I have gotten compliments two days after I’ve washed my hair about how it smells. The bar lathers absolutely incredibly, you only need a few passes of the bar through your hair and three seconds of scrubbing for it to start really foaming, my hair was undoubtedly engulfed in suds while I was washing. They are not exaggerating about the concentration of this bar- you really do need significantly less product than with conventional liquid shampoo. The only thing I really have any problem with is how soft the bar is. You have to be careful not to grip it too hard or scrape it with your nails or anything because it will dent. It doesn’t fall apart though! It can also take a fall in the bathtub as far as I can tell. For such a soft soap it’s important to keep it ventilated- a draining soap dish or equivalent is a must.Anyways, good product.

Pretty Darned Good
I purchased the anti-grease shampoo and conditioner bar duo because I’m trying to use cleaner ingredients on my body and have less waste footprint. I was SUPER hesitant about this purchase, questioning: 1) the price for the size of the bars 2) the bars’ cleaning and sudsing effectiveness 3) their ability to reduce greasiness and 4) if they’d actually last as many uses as suggested. After 2.5 months of use, here’s my synopsis:Pic shows how much the bars have worn in 75 days - hardly at all. The shampoo suds up VERY well, I only need to swipe it across my hair maybe four times. So very little goes a long way. It’s impressive.Shampoo cleans pretty good - hair texture isn’t as voluminous or shiny as it was with bottled shampoos, but it does feel lighter. If I don’t use the conditioner though, my hair gets staticky by end of day. I read a review where someone said her hair has never been greasier than with this product - I similarly noticed that for over a month my hair didn’t last more than a day either without practically dripping oil. But with committed use, it’s almost back to normal levels and I can skip a day of washing it again. They haven’t done “magic” on my hair by any means, but I’d say it’s worth the price for fewer and more natural ingredients.

feels CLEAN!!!!
I've been using this bar for a few weeks. I love it. Makes my hair less frizzy and feels wonderfully soft. I think this bar will last a long time. I can't even tell I've ever used it, it still has pointy corners and flat surfaces. It suds up real nice, like bottle shampoo. I can't smell it, so for me that's a plus.

First time shampoo bar user
After seeing how much plastic waste I was making with shampoo/conditioner bottles, I decided to try a shampoo bar for the first time. My hair is THICK, wavy and somewhat dry. I found it hard to get a lather at first. I had to rinse, lather, rinse and lather to get it going. I wash my hair twice a week and 4 washes in, I think it’s making my hair feel drier and not soft after. Also, there’s no way this is going to last 60 washes. I really want to find the perfect bar, ugh! I will say, the smell is really nice and have had people say I smelled really good.
