Quiet, great quality, smooth clip.
Okay, I did buy this to trim my dog. I do NOT recommend this if you trim down to the skin as people trimmers run a little more hot in my opinion. However, for my dog, I keep her trimmed 1/2 or a little more so the guide comb is always on.I find I get a better, smoother and more even cut with this trimmer than I did with any pet trimmer. I like that it’s lightweight, can be cordless, and quieter than my previous pet trimmer. If you know what you’re doing when clipping pets, watch for clipper to heat up, make sure you aren’t clipping skin, then I highly recommend.

Replaced my wahl senior
I've been a barber for 12 years. I used the Andis Master as my adjustable blade clipper for many years and then switched to the Wahl Senior a couple years ago. I've been using the Rechargeable Sterling 4 for almost a month now and I love it. In fact, my Senior is now packed away in a drawer and will probably not be used again anytime soon.I must say the Cordless Sterling 4 is a great general purpose clipper. When I travel light I have brought only the sterling with the full set of guards and have been very satisfied with its performance. (I normally don't use it for every part of every haircut in my shop; I also have and use a full detachable blade Oster 76 set-up.)I have never timed the battery life but I think the manufacturer's claims are probably accurate. I find the battery will get me through about half of my workday. I recently used this clipper at a St. Baldrick's event and fully buzzed down 10 full heads of hair before the motor started to slow. There is unfortunately no warning light to let you know if the battery is running low. The only indication you get that you're about to run out of juice is that the motor will start to slow. I find this happens about 2 minutes before the clipper shuts off. If the battery runs out you can plug in, wait a moment, and then go back to cutting with the cord attached. I ended up getting two of these clippers, so one is charging/charged while the other is in use. If I'm cutting somewhere an outlet isn't handy (like an event) it's reassuring to know I have an extra charged up. If this will be your primary/only adjustable blade clipper and you will use it for several cuts a day, I think it would be a good idea to get two, then you can wait until the battery is depleted before recharging (fewer recharge cycles should prolong battery life)It took me a few days to get used to how light this clipper is. Now I use it for anything 000-1.5 It's also great to do flat tops and other detail work without having a cord to wrangle. I also find the clipper doesn't get hot like the Senior. If this will be your primary/only adjustable blade clipper and you will use it for several cuts a day, I think it would be a good idea to get two, then you can wait until the battery is depleted before recharging (fewer recharge cycles should prolong battery life). You will also extend performance if you oil before/after every cut.My only other complaint about this clipper is you'll have to send the clipper in to have the battery replaced. Hopefully it'll be a year or two before that's necessary. Would be nice if the battery were user replaceable.

still going strong
bought this in 2021, still works great. i like that it can be charged and then don’t have to worry about the cord while using. the only downside is the cord does not stay in well if you’re using it while charging, so if it dies in the middle of a haircut you have to keep plugging it back in or wait until it charges. easy to disassemble and clean as needed.

Cheaper than the Wahl Magic Clipper
UPDATE: A year has past since I got these and I gotta say they’re pretty great! Still working great and ended up changing the blade back to stock. Overall an amazing first clipper to own.Light weight clipper which is nice for someone cutting their own hair. I haven’t used it for that long but the battery life is good.I did do some modifications to change the stock taper cutting blade to a wahl magic clip fade blade. The head of the clipper does get pretty hot after a while but nothing too crazy. The reason why I changed it is because the wahl magic clipper is $150+ after taxes. This clipper is cheaper compared to the magic clip. So I figured to buy this clipper and just change the blades. “BE WARNED IF YOU DECIDE TO GET THIS CLIPPER AND CHANGE THE BLADE YOU MUST REPLACE THE ENTIRE CLIPPER HEAD!”If you trying using the same three hole setup the stock clipper already has it won’t work. If not then discard what I said. Nothing wrong with the taper blade but I’ve gotten used to using the fade blade on myself.Overall I like the way the clipper looks and how it feels when using it.

What's all the buzz
I’ve been cutting my hair for a while now and there are a few things you need to get it perfect: Excellent clippers like these, a trifold mirror to get your blind spots, and plenty of youtube videos. These pay for themselves in 3 haircuts and I’m now saving about $600/year. It takes patience and studying but you can do it if you care to. With practice you can give yourself a perfect cut.Being cordless is a game changer, very light, battery life is excellent, and the taper blade is great. My experience is you should oil the blades after every use because they will start to pull if you don't.... I only wish it came with a 7 guard. Also the guards are fine but aren't as tight as I'd like so I think I'll invest in the premium wahl set at some point.

Waste
Love the how lightweight it is, however I have not been able to use because it won’t hold a charge and at one point would only work if I plugged them in, but couldn’t keep them plugged in because I was not able to turn them off, they would stay on. Kind of a waste of money when this is what I do for work.

My daughter loves them.
I bought this for my daughter with 3 boys. She has been cutting their hair for 10 years. She has had 2 other brand clippers in the past. She said these are the best clippers she has ever had. She likes the cordless battery time. She can cut all three boys and he husband and they are still going strong.
