What a beautiful plane....
...what a nice flying airplane. It is just great. The description calls for 3S or 4S but just make sure you have a 4S battery. I just love this plane!! It is just a shame, When I put together this for the first time i noticed that it is very difficult to remove the wings. After my fourth or so flight, getting ready to go home, taking off one of the wings, the whole wing mount plate was pulled out of the foam. The mechanism to clip in, is just to strong. Worst part is, Horizon Hobby doesn't care about it. You buy a $400 plane, fly it a few time just to start glue things together already. They could have just be so kind and send me the empty middle wing section, I would have build it up on my own. But no, on my second inquiry if they would reconsider their first decision, Horizon Hobby simply doesn't answer anymore. Just not cool!! Makes rethink my next plane purchases, there many other companies making good planes!! I would have loved to give it 10 stars if possible, but the fact how I am treated as a customer spending the hard earned money I only gave three!!

Great plane
I’ve had this plane since October 2022 and have flown it about 50 times. (It’s not my only airplane ) The picture is recent. It flies well, I use a Spektrum 4s 5000mah battery and get 6 minutes+ flight time. I get a lot of compliments on it, it’s a beautiful plane. It has a lot of power and will fly fast. But, I prefer to fly it more scale-like. I wouldn’t call it a beginner plane, but it will fly relatively slow without stalling. It will easily fly inverted if you want to give the passengers a heart attack ;) I keep the wings on at all times, so I can’t speak to the durability or ease of the connections. I paid $450 for it, so the price has come down a lot and is an even better value. The only complaint I have is the orange paint… it fades.

Missing and broken parts
Non-functional. Missing tail section, Receiver, landing gear, both propellers, product manual, and all associated hardware. Also, both wings were damaged.

Almost a year and still my favorite
We have a lot of airplanes but I keep going back to this one, I love it! Flies stable with as3x and looks great in the air! It gets a lot of compliments at the club.

Buy the PNP version.
This PNP version is the model to purchase. This BNF Basic model has a built-in Spektrum receiver, which is not as reliable as the Futaba you can insert in the PNP version of the Beechcraft D18.
