I bought it for a client who liked a second ssd in his old iMac ... its better than I expected . everything fit just right !

easy solution to lack of HDD storage space.
Struggling with lack of HDD space was my issue and didn't want to replace the SSD HD. Taking out the CD and replacing with this easily solved the problem and the laptop just loaded up the new drive in the caddy immediately on reboot. This is a very cheap unit and should be understood as such. The build quality is basic but does the job. I'm sure that a better quality unit will be a good idea on another occasion should I need one. That said I am very happy now I have used this.

Easily installed on my ASUS laptop to add an extra SSD drive.Could be easily done by individuals without any expertise in computers and system upgrading

Fit in my dell R730 server
The item near enough did it's job, the faceplate cover seems poorly made though and didn't actually fit the caddy, for my use case this wasn't as much of an issue but for a laptop this could be an issue as it would leave space for debris etc

Cheap enough to use just as a filler.
Honestly I just wanted something to put in the space when I removed a drive from a laptop. This is a cheap enough just for that and does have the advantage of also allowing me to add a second drive if I need one.Be aware that you need a 12.7mm bay and a lot of laptops are only 9.5mm.
