I replaced the distributor on a 1989 Toyota 22RE pick up.Unique setup, no vacuum advance.The problem I was experiencing was an intermittent crank no start.Variable amperage readings held the distributor suspect.At $65.00 for a complete set up, how can you go wrong?I received the distributor, it looked absolutely perfect!!All new, no rebuild. All new parts.cap rotor connectors everything seem to be a high quality!The packaging was unbelievable, you could drop kick this thing all day long and not damaged yet.I installed it, set the timing, and I have had no problems with the truck since.Very glad I bought this product. Time will tell, as of now, GTG.I’m glad Amazon is continuing to carry quality replacement part.

Works great in my 1988 Toyota Pickup. I would get a random check engine code for loss of rpm signal and engine would have a hesitation/pause on acceleration between 2500-2800 rpm. The service manual had three possible reasons for the code (wiring issue, bad or worn distribution pickup signal or computer). I checked the wiring and since I had no other computer systems I went to the distributor. After 350,000+ miles on it, it still was in spec but barely and not wanting to spend mega money on my truck I figured I would give this part a try. It worked great. Set timing and runs great. I would recommend getting a better cap and rotor the ones included work great but have cheap aluminum contacts.

Just as described

The connector is grey not green like the factory one I purchased here before. It doesn't fit together very well with the green factory plug and it takes pliers to get them apart and it pulls the wire out of the plug. Also now the engine will only go to 2000rpm. It still works fine with the original distributor.

cheap plastic and aluminum contacts... recommend replacing cap and rotor with higher quality ones... but this will get you to the parts store to pick em up. while it got me mobile again only receives 3 stars as not the same as pictured and cheap quality.
