Your Own EQ is Required
Great bang for your buck. These speakers are pretty loud. Bass is thumping as well. I blasted them in a room with 100 people. They seem to work just fine. I'm just a regular Joe that doesn't know much about audio. I bought 2 of them. They will mainly be used for an overkill karaoke system and for bumping music at the park or at one of my many outside BBQs.2 Channel inputs that can be connected with XLR or 1/4". The output is XLR. Comes with 4 preset EQs. You can hook up a mic directly to it, a phone to blast your YouTube music, Google Audiocast, and more (with the right cables of course).Speakers are very light, probably because it's all plastic casing. I can carry one in each arm with ease (cuz I work out).Handles everywhere so that you can carry them around. The front LED can be turned off if you don't like it.I guess the only thing I didn't like was the Preset EQs. You gotta pay extra to change it now. The previous models allowed EQ setting right on the speakers. I run both speakers through a mixer that has EQ, so it's not that bad. I looked at getting the JBL EONs, but it had mixed reviews about QC. The boosted model of the thump will allow for configurations through an app just like the EONs.If you're looking for a speaker with delay setting, this one lacks that too. Maybe in my next pair I'll get some with all the bells and whistles. Even though the bass is plenty on these speakers (with EQ), I might get a sub too just to complete the setup.Power cables are pretty short. I think it's just your standard 6ft. I got 25ft power cables for them just in case.

MACKIE THUMP 15A : the best product of Mackie company for ever
The Mackie thump 15A options, namely live, music, monitor, with sub, are really interesting. The sound of this speaker is impressive while the box is plastic it has a pure and clear sound really audible.

Durability/sound/bass is not so good.
I purchased the Mackie thump 15A a little over 3 months ago. I used it at home around 20 hours a week. Right out of the box i noticed that it wasn't as advertised. The bass was sub-par at best. It actually sounded better the lower you had the volume. I never had the volume over 50% because i live in a apartment building. The speaker always ran hot since day one. But never overheated. Until i had it about 94 days. It overheated and melted plastic/rubber on the board inside the speaker. The day it happened i never had the volume over 40%. The speakers are still intact but there is clearly some kind of heating problem going on as seen in the pictures. I am very displeased overall with the mackie brand. And will likely never buy their powered speakers again unless someone can convince me otherwise. Not to mention Mackie themselves only warranty their raggedy speakers for 90 days through a different company. So mackie...Well played on the 90 day warranty in small print. It just shows you have little faith that your product will last longer then 3 months. Look elsewhere if you need your speaker to last longer then that!

Great value for the price you cant beat it
I shopped around for a while. This was the perfect price and sound very clean and loud. This is great for a 60 people size party. I use this and a blue tooth makie. And 2 other powered speakers that i have and can rock a large hall. The only thing is the blue tooth but that is available on me first speaker. So i pair thwm and use the others bluetooth.

Exceeded Expectations
I was in the market for a pair of powerful speakers that I could actually turn up the volume and not loose the audio to distortion. I was so focused on power that forgot about quality, and that's where these speakers surprised me. The quality of the audio at high volume is really amazing. We use a pair of these for outside church venues with 200 to 300 people, and we are more then happy with them. Our mixer was lacking a couple in inputs, so the extra inputs on the speaker really came in handy. Always make sure to turn on the mixer first, and the speakers last when turning them on. Bought them with the On Stage SSP7950 Tripod Speaker Stand Package with Bag and they fit perfectly.Just by the look and feel of these, you can tell they are well made, the music on my tablet has never sounded so good.
