I recently had cataract removal surgery and I am done with contacts. The only downside is that I need readers. Since I cant apply makeup with glasses on, these are just right for the job. Some complain that parts of the glasses get in the way of applying makeup but I haven't had that problem. I could have gotten away with just flipping my regular readers upside don and covering one eye but these are ore convenient. These and small hand mirror are all that I need to fill in my brows and apply eye liner. I keep one pair in the bathroom and the other in my travel cosmetics bag. They are a little flimsy but that doesn't imterfere with what I use them for.

I've had these for a couple months now and am downgrading my review to one star. They get one star because the product looks well made, it works as advertised, and the colors are cute and it's a good price for two.However it is an engineering fail. It's a nice idea but they will not help you put your makeup on and the manufacturer has to know that so they are purposely selling something that doesn't work well. If they tested these, there is absolutely no way they could not know, and if they didn't test them, well that says something also.I hate returning things to Amazon but I may return this-- don't be like me and disbelieve the people who wrote that you can't get around these to put your makeup on because they are right -- I thought I could... I really wanted it to work... and after they came, I still really wanted them to work... thought ok, at least I can use them for the top of my eyes, but nope. They are garbage. The only way I've even been able to use them at all is to rotate the single lense up and use it like a magnifying glass, but that really only works well for my dominant hand.Don't waste your money. Also if you do buy it, don't use their guide to picking the strength. Get one that is about the same or a little less powerful than your cheater. I think think your money will be better spent on a stronger magnifying glass. Mine will be.

Likes:- Size, weight and portability, I travel a lot and would love to have this work for me. Really disappointed, I had to return them.- Love the color, so vibrant!!!!- 3 stars for the cool idea and loce this particular color!!!.Dislike:- Challenge in focusing and seeing clearly with just one high magnifying lense.- Longer use resulted to a mild headache.

Bought this for inserting my Contacts but it didn't worked but it's great for applying makeup. Needs a little to get used to it

Although this is a reader for applying makeup we found it is perfect for another purpose. During the several week period after my wife's cataract surgery on one eye and before surgery on the second eye she was not allowed to use any correction on the eye that had surgery but still required magnification on the second eye. These glasses were the perfect solution and also are cute. A real bargain that allowed her to read between surgeries.

Got these for my wife ignoring some of the reviews about usability but unfortunately she had the same experience and we returned them. I was hopeful.They get in the way when she applies her makeup.

These are amazing. I'm not sure why it took me so long to figure out I could buy these from Amazon. I had a pair 20 years ago that I got from Amazon and I tried finding them in drug stores, but nothing. Wow, I was so pleased to find these.When I was reading the reviews before I bought them there was one that said they kept falling down, and she couldn't get them to stay up. Her friend came over and she couldn't get them to stay up hahaha! that's because she had them on UPSIDE DOWN!! she even took pictures to prove it. They are meant to open UP, so if you find yourself in this position, just turn them around and voila! you will be able to see perfectly.I ordered these too strong, I didn't really know. I got 2.5X but for the price, I'm going to order another pair at 2X.I would definitely suggest this product

Have you ever read a bunch of Amazon reviews, and thought to yourself - dang these people are not too bright?... Obviously, they just don't understand how the product is supposed to be used! I'm sure if I buy this item it is going to work perfectly for my needs.... Well guess what? I'm not special and neither are you. The frame completely gets in the way of applying eye makeup. Think of how you hold your eyeshadow brushes and you'll realize there is a huge design flaw. Such a bummer.
