One Snowy Night (Percy the Park Keeper)

My daughter's both loved this book when they were young. It is the cutest story and you can be very animated when reading it out loud, which makes it even better. Percy is so kind to welcome lots of little critters inside so that they can be warm on a Snowy Night. My oldest daughter took our copy to use for her classroom, so when my youngest daughter asked to have the book to read with her little girl I just had to order her a copy. I know that she will treasure the book and I hope that her little girl gets as much enjoyment out of it as my girls did.

After the Storm (Percy the Park Keeper) is a legendary tale that my son absolutely loves. We spent hours reading and re-reading this book because he enjoyed it so much. This was the exact book that I used to read to my daughter when she was little and I was happy to find it. That's why I didn't mind paying over $18 for a used book in good condition and it was in good condition but it was half the size of the original book and it was impossible to tell the size online because they didn't State the size of the book number one and number two I didn't know there was a miniature size of this book! I feel very taken advantage of! I know that I should have checked all of this out but they did not mention the size of the book and it did not occur to me that there was a different size of a child's book. But they knew I'm sure they did! Because if they had the small version and they had to know that there was a larger version available at the price they were charging that's why I didn't even mind the higher price because I knew it was a decent sized book with beautiful illustrations and a wonderful story that my daughter and I read over and over again and enjoyed and I thought my new baby granddaughter would love it just as much! So much so that my daughter bought one as well but the full-sized version! Well at least I have a miniature one to read with her online when she gets older on Skype since she lives in a different state. Still very disappointed at being charged so much for such a tiny book! Will never purchase from them again.

I used to read this to my sons when they were little. Now I am in charge of the parenting center at the Rockville Correctional Facility and wanted it on hand for incarcerated Moms to read to their visiting children. If possible, I would like to know how I can get children's books in bulk at low shipping rates, as this comes out of my pocket.

I teach pre-school and this was the perfect story for our winter play. A story of love, care and some fun. The children love to dress up and perform as animals. The story is easily adapted to your students needs, wishes and capabilities. I gave each of the children a copy for Christmas.

Another one of my favorites! So many pictures and such an enchanting story! The illustrations make the story come alive! Charming!

The media could not be loaded.  2.5 year old Toddler instantly warmed to this book with the cover illustration grabbing his attention. He really enjoys the story, chatting and commenting on the pictures, identifing the animals by name, laughing at the funny bits, and seeking out the animals hiding spots. It's a lovely story to read along with a toddler and I especially enjoy the engagement of the large fold out poster at the back with items listed on the bottom to seek out and find.I also really like that this is just a winter themed book. There is zero mention of Christmas or Santa Clause which means we can leave it out on our winter book shelf until spring. We are now both fans of Percy, chatting about it whilst strolling through our local wooded park. I intend to purchase more in the series.

All of the Percy the Park Keeper books are charming, particularly the Tales from Percy's Park series, but this one is our absolute favourite. Such a sweet tale with endearing characters and beautiful illustrations. This has been loved for many years, both by my own children and by all the children I've taught (classes ranging from nursery to Year 2). Percy is a great role model for teaching the value of kindness and the books themselves are great for teaching about seasonal changes as the stories progress through the course of a year.A must have for all young children's bookshelves.

I have bought this as a stocking filler for my 23 year old daughter. I Couldn't resist when I saw it. Oh how I remember her love for these wonderful books.But when they became animated they took you on a journey with Percy through his park and his adventures with nature.This story was one of her favourites and I could remember where all the animals slept. It is a beautiful book with wonderful illustrations and brings back such lovely memories of simpler times.Just what is needed now I think ?If you want to be transported to a truly beautiful world don't hesitate buy this book. Then sit and read it to yourself and someone special.Enjoy.

I loved Percy The Park Keeper as a child and so this was a no brainer. The illustrations are truly beautiful and my little boy loves looking at them. The story is well written and enjoyable. This book has the added feature of a large foldout poster in the back with lots of little objects to hunt for. A lovely addition to a child's library collection. I will now be looking to purchase the other books in the series.

Love this story. The animals all turn up during s rather snowy night and Percy finds somewhere for them all to sleep. The end has a large page that opens up so you can look for all the animals and where they have ended up. Magical
