I don’t know how we would have slept without it
I really don’t know how we would have slept without the owlet! Our baby was a NICU baby, so we never knew her without a monitor and were terrified to go without it. It seems to be very accurate when compared to her apical pulse, which is very reassuring. Our baby girl is 8 months old now and we still use it every night. It gives you peace of mind. The camera baby monitor system is great. I love the way it looks in the app, with baby’s sats right in the picture. I have recommended this to every new mom, and all I’d them agree— owlet is a game changer.I know some people think it can cause “more anxiety” but I absolutely disagree. There is no way I would have slept this first few nights, days, weeks or even months, without it. Also, if your baby falls within the normal range (which owlet provides education on) then there is no need to worry! If you’re on the fence, just do it. I have no regrets! Hope this helps!

Wouldn’t buy and wouldn’t recommend buying
I used the sock for about a month and from the beginning had issues. Over the month of using the sock, more and more issues popped up. Initially, it started with connection issues, we would have connection issues about twice throughout the night but it was something we could work through as generally it was when we were up with baby and in another room (just a heads up- if you are looking to buy this product, it does not keep connection in any room other then where the base is setup). However, as time went on these connection issues got worse and worse, it started having connection issues when close to the base and would happen at least 3-5 times a night. Then, after 3 weeks the battery no longer lasts through the night. It dies in the middle of the night after being charged all day and the app stating that it had the full battery life -claiming to last 16-18 hours- it would only last 4-5 hours. The straw that broke the camels back was when baby had a vomiting incident and stopped breathing. My partner asked me to check her owlet after getting her cleaned up and the app asked me if it could “send me critical alerts”. I’m very thankful him and I were up at the time the incident occurred as clearly the owlet would not have let us know something was happening. Needless to say, I’ve put in a return and went with something else. As a first time parent, if you are looking for more stress then buy this; otherwise I would highly advise looking into a different product.

Reliable Monitor, but Occasionally Has Connection Issues
We’ve been using the Owlet Dream Duo for a few months now, and overall, it’s been a game-changer for keeping tabs on our baby’s health and safety. Here's what we’ve experienced:Pros:Peace of Mind: The Dream Sock tracks our baby’s pulse rate and oxygen levels, which has been incredibly reassuring, especially at night. We get real-time notifications, which gives us peace of mind while he sleeps.Clear 1080p Video: The Owlet Cam 2 provides crystal-clear video in HD, making it easy to monitor our baby. The night vision is also great, ensuring we can see him even in low light.User-Friendly App: The app is easy to set up and navigate, allowing us to check on our baby from anywhere, whether we’re in another room or out of the house.FDA-Cleared & Trustworthy: Knowing that the Dream Sock is FDA-cleared gives us confidence that it's a reliable and safe way to monitor our baby's health.Cons:Occasional Connection Issues: There are times when the baby monitor will disconnect, especially when the baby is downstairs. This can be a bit frustrating, as we sometimes have to reconnect the monitor to get a live feed.Final Thoughts:Overall, the Owlet Dream Duo provides excellent features that give us peace of mind about our baby’s health and well-being. Despite the occasional connection issue, it’s a high-quality product that we trust and would recommend to other parents.

Able to sleep
Being a first time mom it is nerve racking and you hear so much about Sids that I didn’t sleep the first 3 nights of her life because I was always checking if she was breathing. So decided to by the owlet and it was the best decision I ever made. I slept the first night I bought it. I practice safe sleeping with my baby and this is a cherry on top.

Not a fan
I know this is popular and my husband really wanted for our third kid but it wasn’t worth it to me. The camera constantly disconnects, the thermometer is always way off, have to turn the camera sensitivity all the way up to catch any movement at all or else it wouldn’t even record me going into the room and picking the baby up, and the sock easily disconnects and sets the alarm off and sends you into a panic for no reason. It was nice to see the sleep patterns when sock would connect right but after she started moving more we stopped using the sock.

Worse than the Miku
Night #2 of the owlet sock. No less than 7 alarms each night because of how it fits (or doesn't). Perfectly calm sleeping baby wrapped up in a sleep sack and she somehow kicked it off. If I put the sock on any tighter she won't have circulation in her foot. Seriously the worst design any engineer could have come up with. As a mechanical engineer I'm disappointed that they got to this point and said yeah, good enough, ship it. Hoping the camera works better but the sock leaves me wondering if it was all a waste of money.
