Bargain for a beast of a stereo power amp
I like the great price / performance ratio of this beast. I use it as a desktop stereo amp powering two Mordaunt Short floorstanders with ease.Don't much like the blue display or the jogger style volume control (which is hard and slow to adjust without looking down), but its wire binding posts are fine and its functionality in terms of power and sound is impossible to argue with.

Lacks body
I was smitten with this amp and rushed to give it a rave review. When "properly" listening to high res streams however, I find it seriously lacks oomph and body.

Subjective taste…
This amp focuses on mids and highs with good instrument separation and clarity. It falls down in the low end with little control and definition on the bass. I have found that this is down to the Infineon chip as it has the same characteristics in every amp that uses it. To my taste I find the TPA3255 chip from Texas Instruments found in the Aiyima A07 better for a fuller sound and more control over the low end. Although the TPA3255 has a slightly less detailed presence the overall sound is imo better for longer listening sessions, the ear is not so challenged and it’s easier overall to listen too.The build quality on the A300 is fairly weak. The main dial on the front is thin plastic and tapping it sounds hollow and cheap so it’s not the most robust of chassis and certainly no where near the tank like build of Aiyimas micro power amp, the A07 or the A04. For this kind of connectivity I prefer another Aiyima product, the T9 Pro which again has a fuller sound with more weight and a far better build quality. So in short if you like your music to come full, weighty and warmer then this is not the choice for you but if you like a thinner more surgical approach to your music without too much emphasis on the low end then the A300 might be right up your street.
