I received a pound of Buffalo Bill's hickory pieces as a gift, and enjoyed the size of the pieces and the consistency of the beef's tenderness and flavor. The box happened to come with a couple of samples courtesy of Choo Choo snacks, one of which were a few pieces of the maple pepper beef jerky. After finishing the hickory I went ahead and opened up the maple, and ate it all in 30 seconds tops. This jerky is so unique and mouthwatering, I broke down and bought a pound of it. It's just ever so slightly spicy, and the smell and taste of the maple syrup hits you at the start then lingers after you've finished it. I don't profess to be some sort of food critic, but I figured something this tasty deserved a review with a few big words. So if you're a jerky fan and are looking for a sweet treat, I heartily recommend this!

I've gotten this jerky multiple times before and this time I found 2 different pieces of blonde hair in my bag after opening. Usually love this but now idk if I'll be able to finish it..

I've enjoyed other Buffalo Bill's product before but this was a first time order of the Maple Pepper beef jerky. Most of the "random size pieces" were quite small and had very little taste. There was a faint maple taste on about one out of ten pieces and almost no trace of pepper to be found. The package said it was within the freshness date but the product gave every evidence by taste and texture of being stale and past date. I disposed of most of the package in the trash.
