NKJV, Cultural Backgrounds Study Bible, Hardcover, Red Letter: Bringing to Life the Ancient World of Scripture

My husband loves this book. Great information! BUT I need to look up words to understand what’s being said ( my husband occasionally does too). My husband uses his ALL THE TIME AND LOVES IT!! Me not so much but I will use it a little. (In defense of the book I hate history, so I don’t want to put in the effort but my husband loves history!)

I use this book when I'm reading the bible. It has so much information about the culture of times when the books were written. It makes so much more sense knowing the customs, thoughts and beliefs back then.

This bible is amazing, it provides so much useful additional information and explanation. I get excited and intrigued by it, when it gives me explanations on the background of what I’m reading

Easy-to-read my husband got this book loves every bit of it. I even like it. I'm thinking about getting me one

I've really enjoyed this version of the Bible. Lots of cultural background and other commentary that I find very engaging and helpful as I study. A note if you're planning on sending this as a gift to an elderly person. This version is uncomfortably heavy to hold for extended periods and the print is rather small. I'm finding I need a table or desk to use this for more than a few minutes. Maybe a book stand or something to help them prop it up would be good, too. Otherwise, a well-researched and thoughtfully presented study Bible.

Good bible. The commentaries listed below aren't always that accurate, use a different one if you want to learn. But I like the cultural notes.

I love the resources I to the historical culture of biblical times. It makes many references much easier to understand.

It is what I had hoped. Good cultural orientation. Kind of like an encyclopedia along side Holy Scripture. Definitely recommend.
