I wish I could say I had time to make my own lunchmeat with this already. I have not. However, I like the potential! I really would like to make my own lunchmeat with healthy ingredients and be able to vary it to my taste, calorie goal, etc.I have been on the road months with barely any time at home, so this handy thing hasn't been used yet. I will update when I rectify that. BUT I can say it's a well-made product, heavier than it appears for its size, and very easy to clean. I optimistically cleaned it thoroughly ahead of time and put it in a zipper bag after it dried so it would be all ready when I had my time to make the lunchmeat. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened for 2 reasons. First, I've been crazy busy. Second, there are no recipes included. Why?? I have done some searches online and found one I will try, but really, some recipes should be included for this kind of niche product. Basic bologna and salami and then maybe something a little fancier. Give us three or four recipes to cut our teeth on.I did test the thermometer against my instant-read, digital Thermapen, and it was spot on!5 stars for equipment. 3 stars for no recipes.

Really good product, works as intended, sturdy, and easily cleaned. I don’t bother using a plastic liner, I just spray the inside with oil and I haven’t had anything stick yet. There is no gasket between the lid and the body of the cooker so make sure you don’t fill your water too high. Even if you do it, right If you find there’s a lot of water inside, it’s probably from the meat releasing water, not from water getting inside.

I purchased this product to try and make seitan for sandwiches. My first attempt was a failure, but my second was a great success. I now use this about once a week and ensure that the water in the boiling pot is a little below the top of the canister and put a top on the pot. It came out sliceable and not at all dry.

Easy to use. Does a good job.
