I was gifted a used bottle of an "Oud " from a friend that got sick and could no longer wear . I fell in love , I had not to my memory ever tried one or had one in my collection . I ran across this one and the notes are just lovely , right up my alley . I get some people will find it overwhelming { spritz once , twice , no more } " Oud " Agarwood is used in incense , carvings , and of course perfume . It is a dark resinous wood , it also might take some a bit longer to get use to. HAO is a fruity / patchouli / saffron scentual . It is a lovely Raspberry , Saffron , Vanilla , Oud with an Oriental Vibe. It is one of the most intoxicating for me , I'm in love . It smells the same when you take cap off and smell bottle and same once you spritz on body . I don't find that happens with many high end which I have several Tom Ford , Bond No 9 , Trish McElroy , and Lancôme Oud Bouquet . Not one have the sillage { how long it lingers in the air when worn } or lasting power of this one easily 8~ 12 hours . If you are a perfume lover ,or an admitted addict like me , I have around 150 ~ 200 bottles or samples of perfumes from low brow to high brow pricing , if you are wanting something new , as to not smell like everyone else , give this beauty a try , even if you can sample it first , please believe me , do so , or just bite the proverbial bullet here and buy this . I'll never be without this , I have 2 full bottles , when I find a good deal which this one is for sure . I'll be purchasing this real soon just to keep up on my " signature scent " . I paid a bit more for one , the other one was this price . Sorry , for such a long review , but this is for me a " true love " that has come home .
