I prefer to do reviews on items after using them for long enough to determine their long term value. What good is a product that doesn't last.The first thing I will say is that I am inclined to agree with the person who wrote that this is the best deal on a knife on Amazon. While not certain of that, I can say that despite owning dozens of pocket knives, some over 50 years old from the likes of Buck, Gerber, Camillus, Schrade, Case, Elko, CRKT, and US and Japanese made Kershaw, the quality of edge, and resharpening is equal to the best of those.You have no idea of how much it pains me to say that about a knife blade made in the PRC. I have had lots of problems with Chinese steel, particularly stainless steel, not being up to the standards of "western world" steel. The makers of this knife seem to be an exception.The knife arrived, as many others have stated, quite sharp. Unlike people who oddly seemed to consider this a disadvantage, a good knife should be razor sharp, and in practice, is actually safer than a dull knife.What is even more important is how well the blade holds its edge and takes to resharpening. I buy blade knives because they make excellent utility tool knives. The advantage is that you have two sharp straight edges of different angles like two x-acto knives. A straight blade is also generally easier to sharpen.This blade both hold an edge for a good long time and is easy to bring back the razor sharp edge by resharpening.For at least 20 years, I have been buying CRKT M16 Tanto blade knives because I like the one hand "flipper" opening tab on the back of the blade and, of course, the blade. Problem is, since I use them as utility knives, I've lost and misplaced a few over the years. Back when I bought my first one, they were under $20 with the blades made in Korea, Japan, or the US. Now they are double that and made in the PRC.I reached the point of not wanting to spend $40 for a utility knife, even though I spent more than that even back in the 1970's.So after misplacing another one (found it later), I bought a few cheaper knives that were only fair. Then I came across this Flissa ( sounds Norwegian - isn't!) knife a year ago for a reasonable $13.I liked it so much I bought another in case I lost one.I have been using this for everything from opening boxes to cutting wire and as a scraper. It is easy to open and easy to close.I must make a note about closing any pocket knife because I read someone complaining that they couldn't close it with one hand, err, without cutting themselves! You should never close a pocket knife with one hand. Use two hands. Be safe. If you want a knife that you can close with one hand safely, get a Microtech. However, I don't think my Microtech is as study as this knife at the joint.It is also comfortable to hold and the flipper acts as a fair blade guard. The edges of the handle are not rounded much. I haven't had any problem with that, though some people might.I carry this clipped to a pants pocket all the time (except airports) and have had no problem with the clip.I even had a particularly stupid mishap that proves in is durable. I was working on an old car and accidentally left the knife out on the radiator support. After getting done with some adjustments, I picked up the tools and missed the knife due to the black handle. I backed the car down the driveway and started down the street. I immediately stopped as I heard a racket under the hood. The knife had fallen into the fan, damaging the expensive plastic British fan blade, and thankfully nothing else, then landed on the ground, as I moved about 12 feet after the noise, the knife was behind the car and I had driven over it with a rear wheel. The knife had a a few small knicks and scratches on the handle, but was completely unharmed otherwise. That was a few months ago and the knife works just fine. Oh, and the clip wasn't even damaged.Great knife for a great price.

Very sturdy knife for the price, hard to beat it.

This is a sturdy knife and was priced very reasonable. I like the tanto blade shape. The handle cover is not going to get beaten up and has good grip with the finger indentation before the blade a great feature. It also has a glass breaker knob as well as the seat belt cutting slot while the blade is closed in case of that kind of emergency (for this reason it rests in my car).

I had been eyeing this knife up for several weeks before actual buying it, and I really liked the looks of it but passed up on it a few times because I thought it was just an el cheapo, but I finally broke down and figured I would give it a chance and it came really quickly and I have to say, this blade has incredible, incredible action, almost as good as the 45 dollars kubeys, the blade came really, really, sharp from the factory edge, which I also was not expecting, cut some paper and couldn't behoove how it sliced right through it just as good as more expensive knives, I ran out across my ceramic rod lightly several passes on each side and stropped it, and holy cow, razor, hair whittling sharp. I gotta say this little 10 dollar knife really surprised me right out of the box, with a really comfortable light weight design and impressively smooth action, and after getting this one, I think I'll check it some of their other designs. A++ on this. I really mean it. If you want a low cost work knife then look no further because this is way better then any junk they sell at Wally world. I think the steel is even moderately decent, it's no D2 but 9cr mov not bad at all and for the price your can't find anything close to this anywhere else, get one now because once ppl catch on the price is going to go up and if they make a name for themselves maybe they will offer better blade steels.

Great knife for $10!!!! I have $40 knives that are not as good as this knife. Also bought a red one for a female friend of mine that does alot of hiking!! This knife would be a great $30 knife. Made in China but what isn't these days?? Buy one......or 3!!

I bought 3 of them. 1 for me and 2 for gifts. This pocket is built solid, fit your hand comfortably, the blade is sharp enough to slice the paper, the blade locked firmly in position when deployed. The tanto point is distinctive sharp angle which effectively for piecing ability. One thing needs to be mentioned is the blade is not spring assisted. The blade deployed halfway or very slow unless you swing your wrist fast to create a quick momentum deploying the blade fast. I found this is a draw back in self defense if every second counts or in emergency situation. Other than that, this knife is the one you can count on to keep it in your pocket.

Pleasantly surprised with these knives. Blades are decent with a nice edge already on them. Mine just needs to be run on the strop to be razor sharp. Scales are good but could use a bit more texture. This is not a spring assisted folder, but the blade does deploy easily and has a positive lock. This knife has actually gone into my rotation of EDC knives (I usually carry a Gerber or Kershaw).

Picked this up because it's always useful to have a pocket knife in the car and these are very inexpensive. I was shocked to see how nice they were when it arrived. It's very sharp, opens very easily and smooth. The lock feels strong and secure, just great quality for the small price. Immediately picked up 3 more for the wife and kids cars.
