Works somewhat with cons
It can be used to get decent scribe lines but getting the very tip scribed is difficult and somewhat takes away the otherwise convenient experience. Seller was great and came fast.

not carbide or hardened steel scribe.
Center spike scribe is far too soft. rounded over and flattened instantly on mild steel. The rest of it works so I guess I will try to find or make a carbide insert.

Kind of does the job.
It does scribe a line, but the hex bolt doesn't hold the scribe very well, and it's not very stable. It slips off the edge of the knife if you're not holding it perfectly.
