WE LOVE IT!! BUYING MORE
We purchased this bike for our son to get to and from school. I was impressed!!! Shipping was fast. Easy to assemble and it was packaged with pride. Very well protected. 10/10. I love the look & design of the bike. This thing can go fast and quick, I got a little scared and worried my son can get hurt easily but i set some rules for safety reason. Its a little heavy but not uncomfortable. So far we have experienced no issues and we are very happy with our purchase. I have 4 sons now the whole family wants a ENGWE Folding Electric Bike.I highly recommended it.

Dependable ride for cheap
I bought this bike December 11th and true to their page, the bike was marked shipped next day and delivered via FedEx on December 16th. I have since made it my main mode of transportation to and from work, grocery shopping, recreational riding etc.My town is pretty flat with a few smaller inclines, say a climb of 100 feet at best until you start cruising some of the cemetaries, and the whole town could be summated into a 2 mile radius. I have not ridden to an empty battery, but the bike can make trips across and around town at full speed without much issue. The only time I ever have to give it some pedal assist over just using throttle is during a steep hill on my route home from work, otherwise the bike traverses this town quite nicelyMy only gripe is that the controller, located under the rear seat/rack, isn't actually fastened in its box and thus will bounce around and potentially loosen wiring. There is a silver phillips head screw on the underside of that seat that will allow you access to the controller when undone. I recommend getting a pack of velcro strips from your local dollar store (or is it $1.25 now?) , strap your controller down and check all your wiring before your first ride.It is also worth mentioning that the front light did come a bit loose, to avoid damage assumedly, and should be tightened and angled at night if you dont intend to mount any other supplementary lights. Also, do note that this bike does not have a rear light included, only a reflector. I have read reviews that state this bike's controller does have a plug for an electric rear light, though I cannot personally confirm that at this time since I've not tinkeredUpon arrival, the speed is limited to about 15mph but can be unlocked by holding the right side brake lever while also twisting the throttle fully, power the bike on and hold the throttle/brake for about 30 seconds. You release both and the bike will override its manual settings and have somewhat better acceleration as well as closer to 20mph top speed.Pictured: I added a supplementary front light, mirrors and a rear light (located under the seat)The bike does not come with a rear light but does have a rear reflector. Certainly worth looking into a rear light or ideally rear light unit with turn signals. Plenty of space on the handlebars and stem to mount necessary accessories

Manual is very vague
Got bike in mail, only was protected on four corners of the box. Some dents but not much to damage any wiring. It came with everything, including a vague users manual. Sadly the amazon description doesn't say how long it is supposed to charge. Had to look up in the questions section to see if anyone had posted how long it charges (someone said 2 hours for full charge).Depending on the weight of the person, what the person is carrying, terrain, how much air pressure is on wheels you can very easily go above 10mph. AGAIN DEPENDS ON A LOT OF WEIGHT, TERRAIN, AND AIR PRESSURE.It came with a bit of charge so we were able to test it out immediately (might not be the case for most people). Worked perfect, really silent. The only thing is when it folds, there were no instructions on how to fold it (again vague instruction manual).Found out you have to move the lever in the middle, and then push the lever up (which worried us a bit because the lever is a bit questionable). It came with two manuals, but neither said how long to charge it for, and neither did the amazon description so please be careful when charging it.Overall a good bike. In order for it to fit in a car you would have to definitely take out the handlebars. Also it is heavy with battery in it to carry. There's wiring under the second lower seat (I assume for a small brake light or something). The light should come on when you put in the key fully (12 o'clock position). The light can be turned off at around the 9 or 10 o'clock position.Ours came with two sets of keys (2 keys to unlock the battery, 2 keys to turn on the bike). And a small little useful tool to put everything together (lots of parts to the tool, kind of like a handyman's tool).I recommend charging the battery while it is on the bike for short people. Reason: You HAVE to take off the seat if you're a short person/short legged person in order to get the battery out (kind of a hassle as it does weight a bit). If you have the seat high enough then you should be fine just taking it out.AGAIN BEWARE OF HOW HEAVY IT IS! We tried carrying it to see how high we can go before feeling like we were about to break our backs. Either get exercise so you can easily carry it, or make sure your car is low enough so you can do a emergency hoist, or get a friend/buddy to help... last but not least would probably be riding it into the car but... yeah unless it is a truck, have fun. When first riding it, manuals say to throttle it slowly and to not peddle it. REALLY THROTTLE SLOWLY. It immediately goes forward like a motorcycle with small throttle. So beware.

Waste of time and money. Ended up with no bike and out $150
Was so stoked to get this bike. Looked through a bunch and thought this was a good one. First. Amazon sells this for $100 more then the bikes actual website. Second, bike is for sure made for a child. Not an adult. When the box showed up I was so excited then immediately bummed when I realized it doesn’t come with assembly instructions. No videos on YouTube. No manuals on their site. After putting it together which took forever I didn’t even make it down the block before realizing how uncomfortable it was. The seat to handle bar ratio def makes it not worthy of an adult. When I tried to return it I was met with much hassle. They offered me $50 to keep it and gift it to someone. After many messages back and forth I returned the bike. At my expense. They wouldn’t pay for return shipping and took $150 off my refund. Such a lame way to do business.
