Purchase of the year
I am so glad I got this laptop. I needed an upgrade from a 5 year old PC build, and this has filled the bill perfectly.I decided on a laptop to replace my PC after starting work for a company where I use a docking station with dual monitors hooked up. After some research I decided to go with a laptop with enough (is there ever ENOUGH?) RAM, quick-ish proc, solid state drive, and an Intel chip that supports VT Virtualization. I ordered this along with a docking station and dual monitors and a mouse pad all for less than what I would have probably spent on a new PC self-build.So far, this has handled everything I have thrown at it like a champ. I have not really thrown anything heavy at it yet, but there has been nary a stutter in responsiveness so far.The only caution I would add is that if you are seeking supreme portability just keep in mind that this is not the lightest machine. I very rarely leave home with it so that is not a problem for me. I also cannot really speak for (or against) the battery life.

Great Laptop
I am actually impressed - for a refurbished laptop, I can not tell the difference at all. It looks brand new. I just received it a few hours ago, and I have already installed autocad and other Microsoft programs. Most important for me was that I could run a software program like acad without my laptop slowing down. This laptop is awesome!!It was packaged securely. That was one of my concerns but when I opened the box it was wrapped in some heavy duty type of bubble wrap plastic. (it wasn't bubble wrap)You have to activate windows, which wasn't a problem after I read the instructions. The instructions have in big font "Read Me first" which I didn't and could not figure out how to activate windows. So far so good, the key board feels awesome. I didn't like the autocad for MAC setup so I had to buy another laptop. And glad I picked this one.

There's a reason why this computer is not with the original owner
The computer came with a non-functional battery, and that should have been all the warning I needed to return it immediately. It took me a while to figure out that it was turning off randomly, as I thought there was an issue with the battery management software or auto updates being the problem. A couple months into it, I caught it happening while I was using it--frazzle images, a buzz, then power off. It starts right back up, and when working, it works perfectly fine. But, clearly the technicians for the refurbishing company aren't that attentive.

In all likelihood it will take some work to get what youn want
Part of the problem is Win 10, of course. Despite not coming with a ton of bloatware or malware, it was pretty slow out of the box for the 16GB RAM and the Dual core i7 set up. I didn't buy it for gaming but for a desktop replacement with heavy web access. It turned out to need to cycle rather a lot when multiple sites were open, until I managed to disable a lot of things I didn't need, or want, and optimize performance for my needs. That took about a week. For the price it is good value, provided you know what you'll be using it for. Not really blazing fast. I suppose switching to Linux might help.

Good purchase
Have now used this laptop for nearly four years and haven't had any problems. It came with a 222gb hard drive though which is hilariously low, but it was easily replaceable. I would buy from them again in the future.

Bad Battery
The battery hardly lasted 30 mins. I have had to permanently keep it on charging when I have to use it. I am not a happy customer.

Refurbished laptop works very well.
This is an older laptop which has been refurbished, and which should be evaluated in light of its age. It works very well for its generation. The battery is fine, the keyboard is fine, the optical drive works fine, and all connections work properly. It boots up properly, and the speeds are just fine. I'm completely satisfied with this laptop,

Excellent Condition and Looks Factory Fresh
I use several Latitude 6400 series laptops daily to write firmware, layout circuit boards, and run tests on the resulting products. I bought this as a backup to my others. This is perhaps the cleanest refurbished laptop I have seen. Impressed with the robust construction of these old warhorses and overall reliability. Impressed with the condition of this one and the packaging care.
