Works poorly, if at all.
I became skeptical of this geiger counter's ability to actually detect radiation when I held it near a piece of Uranium ore and it did not react. I also noticed the reading of mili Sieverts per hour appeared to fluctuate at complete random, never going above ~0.25 whether it was in a radiactive environment or not. I purchased a high quality one and conpared its (much more detailed) readings to this one and the difference was clear. It reacted quickly to the test material while this one did not. In conclusion, it does not seem to work accurately, it may not even work at all. Do not put yourself at risk by buying this device, your safety is worth the extra cost of a high quality geiger counter.

Slow response time. Unit appeared used with scratches on it and defective screen
I believe this was a returned used unit sold as new. It had scratches, very slow response time when exposed to sources and the screen came, with a single led line burned out on it.I returned for full refund. I advise spending a little more money on a better unit.
