The clocks are perfect, nice on the walls.

They look great on our patio, etc. Wish I had gotten the lighted clocks but these are good.

The media could not be loaded. First: Yes, they're quiet. No ticking *at all*Second: These are *not* 100% perfect super high quality leave-to-your-children clocks. But they're inexpensive, they work, and they're easy to read.The complaints about the battery being tough to insert are spot on, but it's totally possible if you start with the minus (-) end and give it a good push. It seems like a weird thing to get wrong, AA batteries are a pretty well understood technology. Whatever, they work.I also read a complaint that the second hand sticks on the minute hand. Yep, that's true. Or at least it was true on one of the pair I got. However, if you know what a Phillips head screwdriver is, you can fix it really, really easily. There's six screws that hold the back and front together. Remove them and the hands are exposed. Simply bend the hands so they don't touch and put it back together. It's that easy. it took me less than five minutes. the only warning is to wear thin gloves or use a paper towel when touching anything behind the glass cover, you don't want to leave fingerprints. (or don't worry about it, you'll probably never see the fingerprints once they're on the wall)I was impressed that they arrived with the minute and hour hand set exactly like on the box, but a little disappointed that the second hands weren't aligned the same, since they went through the effort of aligning the other two hands.Bottom line: These are inexpensive clocks, and they're not perfect. It took me a little work to make one work right. But they're totally worth it, I'd buy them again. You can't go wrong at this price. (price as of Dec. 2017 was significantly under $20 for the pair, a freakin' bargain.)

The pictures make it seem soo classy and sophisticated. It was cheaper to purchase than buying similar items separately. Works so far in accurate time keeping and really is quiet.

I bought these clocks 18 months ago. When I bought them they were silent, no ticking. Now they make a constant noise as the gears move. It's not a ticking noise, more of a faint, constant grinding noise, especially the one in my bathroom, which makes me think it's a humidity issue.In any event, they are very easy to read and keep the time with great accuracy.I bought them for my children, because the display is so simple, I thought they would be the best for teaching them to read an analog clock. And they are excellent for teaching my kids to read an analog clock, so I'll give it 4 stars, in spite of the fact that they were not silent after a while.

The size and style make they work in any room we have

I bought a number of these clocks and they were fine for a few years. Later on they all stopped keeping the time even after replacing the batteries.

One of the two clocks would not work right out of the box. I replaced the battery twice just to make sure the batteries were good. The one clock will run for a few minutes and then stop. I have initiated a replace/return action and we will see if the replacements work any better. I now see why they put two in the box. Maybe you will get one that actually works.Update: I received a replacement shipment of two clocks and the one we are currently using is keeping good time and is working properly. I appreciate the speedy response from the vendor in replacing my initial shipment.
