My Honda ridgeline all the sudden popped up a warning light that said tighten gas cap. After going and clicking and tightening the gas cap it was obvious that it was tight so I removed the gas capped inspected the gasket. Everything looked perfect but obviously wasn’t so I decided to go with this aftermarket gas cap instead of OEM because it was about half the price. I tested it out before pulling the grommet out and installing it hard like the factory gas cap. Got in the truck started the truck and the error code was still there. I decided to give it a while and after two days of driving it I got in the vehicle and bingo, no more error message. Mounting the new holder to the vehicle was easy. If you take your time and wiggle out the old grommet, you can reuse it. Thank you for a wonderful product and I hope this review helps others.

The "loose gas cap" light appeared on my dashboard and stayed on after both my and my partner tried resetting it and waiting a few days. It went off in a few hours with the new one in place.It was easy to attach and takes some muscle to turn.

I almost never write bad reviews, that being said, i'm going to make an exception for this one. First of all, this seemed like any other gas cap, going on to, and fitting fine, my 2011 ridgeline. However I got a dud. I know this for sure because at my state inspection facility (i used to be a state inspector for my state) I watched the gas cap test fail a four times in a row. My old gas cap passed the first time, and the replacement I got from O'Reilys (which was $4 cheaper than here i might add) passed the first time as well.I received a defective product, but installed it and tested it juuuustttt outside of the return window.Guess its partly my fault for waiting, but I cant leave a good review for a product that is more expensive than your local parts store, and might be defective....

We bought this gas cap to replace the one our 2006 Honda Accord SE. It was easy to install once we were able to get the pin/clip out of the original one. We thought the original gas cap was not closing correctly and caused the check engine light to come on. Unfortunately, that was not the case and had to have more work done on the car. However, I am still very glad we found a replacement at a great price with speedy delivery. We would have needed a new one sooner rather than later as we could see the original was starting to break down. I highly recommend this cap if you need a new one.

Excellent fit compared to name brand aftermarket caps. I’ve bought several big brands over the years and none of them compare to the factory fit. This one does, and is well built. I’ve had a pesky check engine light due to the gas cap, 4 name brand caps never solved the issue but this one did. The light has been off for almost 2 months now, no stored code.Highly recommend this cap!
