Perfect brush for dogs that have an undercoat
I have two Pomeranians Sky is 1 years old and Indy is 6 months old. Neither of them would let me brush them before and I have combs, slickers, soft brush, dematters basically if there is grooming tool I have it. Sky my 1-year-old hated all of them would even try to bite me. He loves this brush. He lies down in my lap and just lets me brush him as much as a want. He does try to eat the hair when I remove it but he's still young. Also, the removal of the hair is so easy. I have another brush from pet zoom like this and the bristles don't retract enough it can be difficult to remove the hair. No joke you push the button and can slide the hair off. Last Sky was just neutered so had a donut on for two weeks which caused huge matts. I had been trying all my grooming tools to remove the matts. My poor boy was being tortured with me trying to remove these huge matts which is actually why last night I decided to buy this brush I needed to find something gentler on him. I used the brush tonight on his neck and it only took 10 minutes to get his horrible matts out and it wasn't torture for Sky he actually enjoyed it. Last my 6-month-old Indy who I literally could not brush too squirmy and would whine. He was still a little squirmy but that's because he is still a puppy but no whining. He eventually just lied down in my lap and let me brush him. Sorry for the long review but I wanted to explain that I have a lot of my experience with different brushes, and this is the best I have ever had. I am beyond impressed. I hope it holds up but honestly even if it didn't, I would just buy another one because of how much my dogs like the brush. I give this 5 starts 10 times over.

Works exactly as expected
Works good !! My fave part is how it cleans the hair off!The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the little teeth on the brush/comb sometimes bend in on themselves or in a different way.(You can see a few in the pics I have tried to pinch and bend them back to shape already)Now it’s kinda easy to bend it back to line up for the slot it goes in…but I guess I just worry if over time will those break off ? Like the metal on that is pretty thin… And then if it does break will the brush end up being unusable like would it cut my dog?And also I know I don’t brush my dog harshly with it so I’m unsure why they are getting bent out of place ? But yeah that’s my only concern. It’s good for the price though.

Difficult to operate works well
I was not aware from the product description that the button must be held down to keep the bristles extended. If you are older with arthritis this is difficult to do while holding kitty. Also the minute you let go, the bristles retract and the accumulated fur is now loose and must be caught or cleared off the brush surface. It works well as far a removing fur. I purchased the sensitive style and even my most picky kitty will tolerate it without trying to attack the brush or run off. Just wish there was a way to have bristles stay extended while brushing without needing to hold the button down. For seniors that requires more dexterity then many are able to easily manage. It does work well as far a removing fur without hurting kitty. Remember I ordered the sensitive style.

Check your brush closely!
Be very careful to thoroughly check your product when it arrives! It look 8 years of use, with a long hair GSD mix, a Japanese Akita, and a husky mix for the bristles to bend on my old Slicker brush of a different brand. This one arrived with bent bristles, scratches, scuffs, a chunk of rubber missing on the handle, and what appears to be small dog/ cat hair already inside the brush. My concern is that someone returned this brush, presumably within the 30 day return window and the brush was already this damaged, particularly the bristles. I ordered a replacement brush. We'll see how the new one turns out. I also noticed the button requires you to apply a lot of pressure to click into place. If you have thumb arthritis, this brush will be painful to use.

It works!
I needed something for all of the hair that my English cream golden retriever puts out. On top of that, I'm allergic so brushing is a big production & I need something easy. Unlike some reviewers, this brush (large, sensitive skin) didn't seem to hurt my dog at all. He was very cooperative as I brushed, and brushed, and brushed. The button works as described. My only concern is that the button feels rather flimsy & I hope it doesn't break in the future. The brush did a good job because dead skin was evident on the brush as I worked. I'd definitely recommend this brush if you have a longer coated dog.
