My wife and I have found that upon waking up, we don't typically have time for breakfast, and a quick breakfast bar or something similar is basically just a bunch of carbs... So we buy protein drinks however those can get a bit expensive. I still prefer them however my wife has found, as odd as this might sound, a scoop of this in her morning coffee with the right amount of creamer actually tastes pretty good, and gives her the protein that she's looking for first thing in the morning. We bought one of those little containers with a shaker ball inside of it, and I put a splash of coffee with the creamer in that container, a scoop of protein, and I've got no clumps whatsoever in about 10 seconds. This stuff dissolves beautifully. And believe me I shopped around because everybody that knows, or has purchased protein before realizes that it is rather expensive. For the price per ounce, this is the best deal I have found. And further research has shown me that this is of a better quality than some of the other brands that actually cost more.

This is a great whey protein and, in my opinion, the best bang for your buck. Sure, there are some that are less expensive but I’ve found the flavor is worse and/or it doesn’t mix well. Rival mixes really well and tastes great.The first flavor I tried was cinnamon toast, but they’ve been out-of-stock for many months. Marshmallow is my favorite and soft serve vanilla is fine. I would be buying cinnamon toast if they ever had it back in-stock but my guess is that it will never be. I contacted Rival months ago asking two things: 1.) when will you have cinnamon toast back in-stock and 2.) why is the price of your whey protein more expensive on your own website than it is on Amazon (a really bizarre thing considering you also have to pay for shipping)? I got no response back. I’ve been buying Rival protein for the last six months and it’s discouraging to see zero response from customer service. Don’t list an email address for customer service if you just ignore people.Aside from Rival discontinuing one of their most delicious flavors, I’m happy overall. Their whey is reasonably priced and tastes pretty good.Rival, according to their website is a company that was founded by the guys that founded Optimum Nutrition. They shouldn’t need business advice but here it is: take a business tip from another successful company, Ghost, and have someone respond back to customer service questions.

The marshmallow cereal actually has a taste of marshmallows. The problem I had with this protein powder is that I’ll add it to my oatmeal, and I can only get a hint of the protein powder, it’s not really a strong flavor. I made a protein pancake too and it sorta just tasted like nothing. And if you add it with yogurt or something of the sort, it gets super liquidy. It’s overall good tasting though!

I really like this whey powder. I've bought it several times. It has good numbers, tastes good and does not clump in my shaker. That's important as it's very off-putting to get a lump of dry powder when you're expecting liquid.

Edit: Updated from 3 stars to 5 starsReason: I was running low on milk so decided to mix with cold water instead. To my surprise, whatever the taste was that I didn't care for was significantly better. For whatever reason, this powder agrees better with water so I will be mixing it that way moving forward and will likely buy again.Original Review:Price is good for whey so I gave it a try. Unfortunately, I just wasn't thrilled with the vanilla flavor compared to other brands I have used and wish I bought a different flavor. I usually purchase vanilla because I feel it works better for fruit and yogurt smoothies, however there is a distinct bitter taste to it that I don't care for. I tried mixing with frozen blueberries to mask it but still has an unusual bitter taste. I have 5 pounds to use up so I will finish it, but will try a different flavor next time.

I take twice a day and think it works better and tastes better than others.
