Works great in both polarities.
I purchased these little LEDs for retrofitting my Super Simon game, which was manufactured sometime in 1980, and it requires 8 E10 type bulbs. After discovering that Milton Bradley had wired the tip as negative and the shell as positive for the lamp sockets, I reversed the polarity of the sockets, and after later testing the LEDs with a 3V power supply - in both normal and reverse polarity - I now realize that the modification to the game was highly unnecessary. 😅While I had the new LEDs installed, I saw that the colored lenses on the Super Simon were much more vibrant than the original incandescents they replaced, and yet they have the same characteristic fast fade-in and fade-out as the originals, instead of the instant-on and instant-off of the cheaper LEDs that I’ve tried... The quick fading is an aesthetic that I wanted to preserve. I hope that these LEDs will help extend the life of not only the batteries, but the life of the unit itself, as well. At the time of my writing this review, the game is going on 43 years old.Overall, I feel that these LEDs are a great investment for any lighting project that requires 3.0 to 3.6 volts DC, whether you’re retrofitting an old electronic game, upgrading an old reliable flashlight, fixing an old stereo, replacing bulbs in your kids’ toys, or even teaching your kids about series and parallel circuits.

Good replacement for the incandescent type
Product arrived in two days nicely packaged.Would be nice if it listed the wattage of the bulbs on the package. The bulbs are in a number sign exposed to the elements. At night they look white and are much brighter then the incandescent type.

Perfect for 6VAC dial lamps.
I bought these to replace E10 incandescent bulbs behind the tuner dial of an old KLH Series 520 receiver. Those are powered by a 6VAC dedicated coil on the supply transformer. These bulbs were advertised as being 6VAC compatible, and they work great! Very very very little flicker, and so far, no interference with either AM or FM receiver. The light quality is a great match for the incandescent bulbs that they replace, and these generate far less heat. As far as durability, only time will tell.

These are not flashlight bulbs
This is a bulb for a nightlight, low lumens. Perfect for what I needed. 5 stars.

Exactly what I needed for my daughter's little camping lantern!!
This bulb is bi-polar meaning it doesn't matter which way the current flows it will still light up. This is great because the mini camping lantern my daughter has put the negative terminal on the bottom with positive on the side which is opposite of most bulbs. These work great and now I have 10. Should last until her kids are tired of it!!!
