Built like a tank
I like these Ernie Ball pedals. I had a slightly larger one, bought decades ago and the volume pot finally failed. Unfortunately I didn't know it was fixable and tossed it. This one is slightly smaller, yet still heavy and confidence-inspiring. Volume control is good yet as is common, has a less-than-linear feel to the volume increase: it's pretty sudden.

Bought the EB VP Jr. to use with Bass and have no complaints
This pedal is very well built, sturdy, has a smooth transition, and adds no additional noise to your signal chain. I bought it to be able to kill volume without touching my bass controls as well as volume swells. The pedal has less resistance than some I've used and takes a little getting used to, but it works perfectly for my use.

Most Times This is What You Need
I have an older full-size Ernie Ball volume pedal and this one is definitely more pedal board friendly. Smaller and less weight. This 25K pedal is good for an acoustic with a preamp or used after your noise-generating pedals like overdrives, distortions, and compressors. Smooth operation and will make life easier when using both a compressor and a pedal tuner on your board. Even a Boss tuner with a buffer will interact with a compressor that's placed after it.

Great pedal
A sturdy aluminum and smooth pedal that does the work perfectly. It has a double function for me (not simultaneously). I use as a volume pedal with my i Rig Stomp/Iphone-Amplitube config. sometimes, and as an expression pedal, with my Stealth Pedal and amplitube-MacBook pro configuration. Don't have any complain so far, the only issue that bothers my mind is the cord and spring mechanism, but haven't heard of any bad comment about it neither. Still is worth the money, because it surely does the job.I recommend it!

Smooth Yet Gnarly
I Bought this pedal to use as an expression pedal for my my line 6 M9 stomp modeler. I must say that it operates very smoothly and does a fantastic job for what I bought it for. However I have never been a big fan of volume pedals for use in the signal path. I tried this out with my Mesa Express 5/50 and was shocked by how little it effected my guitars tone(Fender American Strat w/EMG active pickups). I would definitely recommend this pedal for anything that you need a volume pedal or CV control pedal with. It is my first Ernie Ball product and I willsurely try other products from this manufacturer. Good Stuff!

25K ohm model is ideal for FX loop
Bought one for my Fender Rumble bass amp, and just got another for my Bugera guitar amp. 25K "low impedance" is ideal for FX loop. Very smooth mechanically, and absolutely silent operation, mechanically and electrically. And unlike other volume pedals, replacement "pots" are readily available, so when it eventually wears out and the pot gets "scratchy" I can repair it myself instead of buying a new one.

very solid - perfect for Eventide boxes
This is probably the best built expression/volume pedal on the market. Most are not very strong and will not hold up if you play out very much. This pedal is cast aluminum with good bearing surfaces and countersunk machine screws. If you use any of the Eventide stomp boxes, this is the pedal to use. It is recommended by Eventide and meets the 25k ohm requirement. Operation is very smooth and the stompbox reacts immediately - there is no lag.Hookup to the stompbox requires just one mono patch cable from the "Out" jack on the 6181 to the "Expression In" jack on the Eventide. You don't connect to any other jack on the 6181 - super simple.I use it with a Pitchfactor and can't see using the effect without an expression pedal. This pedal is a little more expensive than most of the others but not by that much and it is well worth the price. There is no point in trying to save $20 when the difference in quality is worth more than that.

So far so good... just very touchy
I have an active bass. My research showed this is the best pedal because it is 25k. When playing live I have to be very careful. It gets loud, very fast, if I don't move my foot slowly. Otherwise it is a solid product.
