This fire pit is pretty cool. It’s small but the smoke is very minimal with wood and nonexistent when you use the pellet packs.

I was impressed with the robust fire and warmth from the 9lb bag of pellets it came with. THe fire was high, smoke didnt exist, and the fire was warm a few feet out. After alomost 1/2 an hour like the bag predicted, the fire became a little smaller so I added wood, and here comes some time for practice. I will not buy those pellet bags for as much as they cost of have delivered. A 40 lb bag of wood stove pellets from a local store cost less than 7 USD. I wrapped 4 lbs in paper bags and didnt have much success as the stock back, but I will try again varying the pellet amounts, varying the number of paper bags wrapping the pellets, and varying the quantity of additional wood. I was impressed with the first burn, and now I just need time to get it back to what I know this unit is capable of doing. We plan to take it camping with us since the smoke output with burning my wood was significantly decreased and very bearable. I purchased mine used-very good and it came with all parts and works beautifully for the cost, to replace my old burned-through open ring pan. It appears I can even cook on this although it is probably not recommended.

Super simple set up. We started with the included fire pack, and then burnt limbs from the yard, then some oak firewood. It burned it all with a warm cheery glow. Gave off a ton of heat, but NO smoke. In the morning there were just a few ashes left - no half burned chunks. Also, the included cover is a heavy duty, attractive nylon outer shell, heavy neoprene inside. Not the not the thin plastic I was expecting. 100% love it. Well worth the money.

Appears to be very sturdy built. Was easy to attach the legs - they even include a small Philips screwdriver that actually works as a tool. Really gets a roaring fire going with very little combustible material in it. But it works so well that the material burns up very quickly. Have not tried it with logs, yet (they would have to be like old stogeys - "short, but not too big around". The sides stay relatively cool - you can touch them but would not want to leave your hand on them. They act as an insulator for the fire box and therefore do not radiate much heat towards you. Sends an amazing amount of flame out the top. The mesh cover should be included as standard equipment, not as an option. The sparks from the roaring fire could be a real danger without it.

The media could not be loaded. Using my own cured kindling & logs, this baby makes quite the fire. Warm enough for my patio sectional seating. Smoked a tiny bit at the very beginning of lighting, but that was due to slight damp kindling. My next fire was no smoke, with all burning completely dry. If you're using your own materials, everything MUST be cured for a year or two, or you will get smoke. I have lots of trees, so my burns are in constant rotation. The pit is small, but perfect for my patio. Any bigger, and the lattice overhead would melt! Cover is perfect for rainy days, although water pools due to inverting grate. Nothing a thin piece of plywood can't fix by using as table top, then cover. The pit is a lil heavy to be portable, but I guess doable for a camping trip. All in all, I'm very, very happy with my purchase!!

It arrived in its own box which was in great shape. It was packaged really well inside. The assembly was extremely simple. Just screw the legs on essentially.The wood pack that comes with it only lasts about 30 min so have firewood ready. It heated the area around us for 3-4’. There was absolutely no smoke and the flames were beautiful. They do get really high though so be careful in any area with a covering.

We bought this for our small, 6' x 12' upstairs deck, and boy, does it do a GREAT job of heating the space. I love that it comes with a cover, and the individual pellet packs make it super convenient for the nights when we don't want a long fire that runs for hours and hours. It's well made, sturdy, and looks just as good a year later as it did when we first got it. The flames get pretty big, and sometimes we even have to move back a little because it gets so warm, so don't let the small size fool you.

We love this fire pit, it’s a good size, barely any smoke, and looks great. Waited a couple months before posting a review just to see how it held up, and it’s doing great. We live in Miami, so keep that in mind when I say it’s provides just enough heat to stay comfortable: some of you may need the bigger one in colder/windy regions. I would avoid the wood pellets….they burn too violently, too fast, and you don’t get that “campfire smell”. We used the provided pellet bag, then went to standard store bought firewood bundles and they do just fine. Definitely a recommended item!
