My double yellow head amazon likes the food.especially the red ones for today. Tomorrow may be the yellow...I Wish it was double zip bags so it is easier to make sure it was closed. So far it is an A plus!

My macaw did not like it at all however I gave to my friend to see and her macaw loved it. So solid food just my bird is well a bird and not always happy with what I buy for them.

I can’t say enough about this company and their products. I’ve been buying their food for my birds for almost 20 years now. It’s very high quality and they are very picky about what they put in it. I buy for my “normal” birds, their jungle mix. I also have a brain damaged parrot who cannot and does not know how to eat on his own. I’ve been using the Scenic brand for him for 17 years and he is thriving and loves it. However, during the pandemic. Scenic, along with everyone else, was unable to get the proper ingredients for his food and for my other birds’ food. I was at a loss for about a year until production resumed again. During that time I was forced to use other brands and none of my birds were happy about it. Especially my poor little handicapped guy. He didn’t like the other brands and they were very hard for me to use. So it was a struggle to keep his weight up. Finally, everyone is happy now that they get their favorite food and mama is happy because my little guy is stable and doing very well.I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the outstanding customer service. During the pandemic when production was interrupted, their customer service rep did everything she could to help me locate this food from vendors around the country. She worked with me throughout the entire shutdown and was extra helpful and responsive.I’m just so happy I can buy their food again.

UPDATE:The company reached out to me when they saw my review, and refunded and replaced my bag of food. And the quality was better on the second bag, and they are very proactive about making sure we are satisfied. That is much appreciated. I would suggest ordering directly from the company at least for now.My bird grew up on this food and then they suddenly stopped making it a couple of years ago. I kept trying to contact the company about it and they kept promising me it was coming soon but it never did. When I saw this was available again I was excited. Just got it today after two years and it is not the same product at all! The pieces are almost shiny and they're spongy and hard. Very strange. I tried one and it tastes like a nasty vitamin pill. I am not giving this to my bird. Unfortunately it is not returnable so I wasted $25.

This food is not only an excellent diet but it’s also a wonderful shape for parrots that don’t think they like a pelleted diet! I have fed many baby parrots on this and converted many parrots to pellets with Scenic brand.

My cockatoo took to this food immediately, then he lost interest in it the second day. I now give him a piece or two on occasion, but I have gone back to the more expensive food he demands. I wish I could tell you what bores him about it, but he just squawks incomprehensibly and ignores it.

I have been feeding Scenic's Mixed Jungle food to my Severe Macaw for over 25 years since he was a little featherless baby. I started him off on hand weaning formula when I first got him and then gradually introduced him to the Jungle MIx Pellets. I initially choose the Marion Zoological Scenic product for it's nutritional formula and composition. It is clearly higher quality than all it's competition. Just compare the contents,So long story short, I highly recommend Scenic Mixed Jungle to all Macaw owners. It's the only pellet product my bird knows and he likes it. HA HA. I combine it with a diet of fresh fruit and or baked sweet potatoes, salt free cashews, and a small amount of high quality seeds which I buy at a Parrot store near my house. The result is I have a happy, healthy, and active 26 year old bird.
