We got this for my beginning eater, and for my 4yo who has a feeding disorder - they are still learning to use utensils and learning to feed themselves. I got these so that the plate would stay still while they were trying to scoop food out and it has been working excellently! We’ve had them over a year I believe and they still seem to be good as new. They stay put really well, I would say a one year old can almost never pull them up if they are stuck to a non porous surface. But even my wooden table they stick pretty good. They aren’t too difficult to detach by an adult, but sometimes suction to the counter or table more than I expect. I hand wash ours and sometimes put it in the dishwasher if I remove all the food from it. I think they would be effective for toddlers who are prone to throwing their dishes. It would at least give you enough time to get over and grab the dish before all the food is on the floor. Haha!

I love these plates they are fun colors, easy to wash, durable and suction really well to tables but the downside is the lids will not stay on. You basically have to rest the lid on the plate but it doesn’t really snap onto it. So far it hasn’t been a problem but because we are aware of that issue we are just extra careful when transport food to make sure we don’t spill it everywhere

I was looking for a plate that would stay put. This is it. Strong suction if you push down all for cups. The only problem with that is trying to remove it when babu is done eating. Hard not to have stuff leftover on the plate come flying out when you finally release the suction. As some mention it does seem to hold onto the soap smell, taste from our dishwasher. I found handwriting is best for this product.

These plates are thick, pliable, and make mealtimes easy with the suction cups. I also bought the spoons to match. These plates say dishwasher safe, but personally I think silicone can hold dishwasher detergent fragrance, so I hand wash. After multiple hand washings, there is no odor and they come clean quite easily.
