Yes!
We live in Central Texas where the summers are blazing hot. The heat even wilts the native plants. Our passion for composting yields spontaneous growth of avocado, ginger, tomato, sweet potato sprouts. In the past we planted the fledgling sprouts in pots, or the ground; their fragile roots withered quickly. For years I saw Smart Pots for sale at various nurseries (usually at check out) and never gave them much thought. While perusing Amazon, I stumbled upon them. The product description and reviews are as advertised. Smart Pots are a genius alternative to plastic containers and/ or planting in poorly nourished soil- true for plants at all stages of growth, even cuttings. We also use them for our indoor plants in decorative pots (put gravel at bottom of the pot, smart pot on top).

Plants love them
Our vegetables do better in these than in the ground, maybe because of the ventilation. Easier to control weeds too. Very happy with them. Tried the larger ones last year but this year we're experimenting with the smaller ones and I think I will like them a bit better. Easier to move around if needed, but still hold quite a good sized plant. This year we're doing tomatoes (two per pot), cucumbers (two per pot) and zucchini in them.

Get the handles!
I know they sell these with and without the handles, so I bought a five back of both and seriously just pay the few extra bucks for the handles, these pots are great for keeping the roots from getting bound to the outside locking themselves in place but the handles for easily moving your plants if need be is really worth it!Thanks smart pot!

I hate the shape of this. The handle shape on the edge of the fabric makes things difficult
These work very well, I just hate how the handles are done. I prefer other brands that have a flat top and handles sewn into the sides. The raised rim of this container is awkward to use and gets in the way when watering and training plants.

Ordered these in February but just now getting around to gardening. I ordered two 5 gallon, 5 packs, and the outside label states that, but inside, was 3 gallon 4 pack. Not only were they the wrong size, but they were the wrong quantity. Feel completely ripped off...Sold by: The Hydroponic City Los Angeles
