It’s In The Name- These ARE Moth Magnets!
Like many people, I am trying to eliminate my use of “-cides;” pesticides, herbicides, etc which poison our environment. When I brought a load of clothing from my parent’s house to get sorted for donation, a bunch of cloth-eating moths hitched a ride to my house. I’ve had minor issues before, but suddenly had the worst problem with them in the 20+ years I’ve lived here. This product had great reviews, the price was right, and it seemed like a better and more permanent solution than simply repelling moths with the cedar or lavender I’ve used in the past. This is one of those rare products that work SO well that I wish I’d found it sooner! I decided to open and deploy these traps at night; in retrospect it might have helped that the rest of the house was dark, and that the only light was coming from my bedroom, where I was working with them. The light *could* have been part of what attracted the moths, but of course I couldn’t say for sure. All *can* say for sure is that these MothMags worked so well and so immediately that I couldn’t believe my eyes!Sitting on the floor, I began opening the foil pouches, assembling the traps into the triangular hangers, and lining them up on my bed as they were done. By about the third one that was assembled and ready to go, I looked up from my work and saw that there was a moth hovering around the completed traps, so I smashed it. Then, two *more* appeared, and I smashed them, too. By the time I had all six traps assembled, I had smashed 7 or 8 moths that were attracted to the traps, AND 3 of the traps had a total of 5 moths already stuck on the sticky paper!I know this won’t sound weird to anyone reading this review- if you’re here looking for a way to get rid of these pests, you know the sheer frustration of putting on one of your nice sweaters or scarves or whatever, only to find those tiny holes… I was SO excited by such great- and immediate- results that I texted my husband, working his overnight shift in the ER, something I only do for “important” stuff.I’m going to take and post a picture of one of the traps that has been out for less than 3 days. I’ve been monitoring their progress by visiting the traps every day, counting the number of “catches,” and writing it on the side. I will have to re-read the instructions to find out how long it takes for the attractant to wear off or dissipate or whatever; I came here to buy another pack to have on hand when it’s time to replace them. As I suspected, it was hard to capture all three sides of the inside of the trap, so I counted the trapped moths. There are currently 18, but there may or may not be 17 in the picture- I noticed a moth flying around the area when I was setting up the photo, stepped away to edit the pictures, and when I came back, one of the moths was still alive, fluttering a tiny bit as it could, and was obviously a very recent catch.I often end a review with something like ‘I can’t say enough good things about this product,’ but that’s just like, my opinion, man- right? In this case, I’ve been able to provide measurable (countable) evidence for how amazing these MothMags are AND I can’t say enough good things about them!If moths are snacking on your clothes- GET THESE! You won’t be sorry!

It works!
These really work! Some traps will contain up to 50 moths - more than I thought we're there. after 3 rounds of these, I haven't seen any more moths.

Works if you have the right species of moth
I originally thought these weren't catching anything. I'm short, and kept looking at the sides of it - zilch. I went to take it down and toss it - found several moths stuck to the bottom of it! I wish it worked a bit faster - we were still finding (and killing) a moth here and there for months after hanging this up. We also vacuumed thoroughly and put down diatomaceous earth. Not sure where the buggers came from, but they totally infested our cat tree. Anyway - it worked to catch the textile moths we knew we had.

If you think you have clothes moths this product is for you
These are great! They are easy to set up and are effective. They are not meant to eradicate moths. They act like a sentinel to trap moths to make you aware the presence so you can devise other definitive methods of eradication

Ineffective trap
This one does not attract moths. I hung this one side by side with another brand which was like a magnet. This one only had three moths on it. I was disappointed.

Didn't work
I bought another pheromone moth glue trap and before I realized that it takes a while for it to start working, so I bought this one hoping for better results. This one is actually 2x the price of the original purchase. Now several weeks later I can clearly see that original trap works and that this one doesn't work at all. I have them sitting next to each other and the old one is full of captured moths, while this one is empty, it only caught one or two moths and I had them positioned throughout the house with similar results. In any case, if you have moths problem - look for a better option, better yet, figure out where they are coming from. In my case it was a small Persian wool rug that moths destroyed completely, I just had to throw it out.07/31/24 Update. Based on my negative review vendor contacted me and offered a full refund. He also suggested that I would use another type of moth trap containing pheromones for pantry and not for closet moths (they are different species, apparently), that he is planning to supply me with free of charge. Very attentive vendor! Hope another type of MothMagnet traps will work better for the type of moths I have. Will provide update and fix one star rating if new product works better.

Works well.
I had a huge, apocalyptic infestation of wool moths. I understand they have a purpose in nature, keeping the nests of squirrels clean. I say that so as not to condemn them completely, but they destroyed rugs, sweaters, lamp shades, weird stuff I wouldn’t expect them to destroy. They worked their way into fabric wrapped in plastic cases. They loitered in my recycling and trash cans. I’d open the garage door and see 100 of them hanging onto the doorframe. These traps caught them ALL. It takes time to catch all the generations, but I haven’t seen a moth in months now. Too late for my Icelandic sweaters and Turkish rug but maybe good timing for you.

Got rid of a horrible moth infestation
When I enrolled a stored woolen carpet it fell apart and moths flew everywhere. It was disgusting. I put all my woolen clothes in a tight closet with old fashioned flakes, and I set up these traps around my house. They trapped and killed dozens of moths. After 2 weeks all the moths were gone. I keep 2 of these traps in my bedrooms as a precaution. But I am comfortable that I can now stop using the flakes, which are overwhelming. I don't want to smell like a mothballs when I wear my wool suits, coats and sweaters.
