My favorites
My local stores have quit carrying these for some reason, so I was happy to find them here. These are the best I have found for both sore throat and cough. They coat and numb the throat, so both the pain and the persistent throat tickle that makes me cough are both taken care of. The "vapor" is menthol that helps with my sinuses at the same time. When I have a bad cold, if this doesn't work, it tells me it's time to go to the doctor and get codeine cough syrup.

I'm not sure of what the addition of Menthol to mix is good for.
The basic action of these lozenges is to provide and anesthetic to the throat which very effectively works on the cough and also I expect on the sore throat. I'm not sure of what the addition of Menthol to mix is good for.
