NOT a noisy air conditioner
As we can't have dual hose units in the UK, I thought a 12000BTU unit was a good idea but was hesitant because other reviewers were saying this unit was noisy. It isn't. It cools the room very quickly and really does not use much electricity to do it. It is very well built and easy to operate. Those are my Pros, here are my Cons; The exhaust hoses are far too short - both air and water. The unit is a really good product at a good price but the package is let down by the short hoses. I get it that Allair have a cost to meet but really, the money they saved per meter of pipe does not equate the hassle of the consumer having to source more parts for something that should have been complete.

Simple to use, relatively quiet and COOL
TL;DR - This is a good aircon unit for a living room or a doddle for cooling a bedroom, has powerful cooling, is relatively quiet, with average form factor. Not many reviews on Amazon for this Allair unit so had to do some Google research and ask a question of another vendor before I ordered.Cooling - In our (large) master bedroom it takes minutes to cool down the air, we leave it on for a hour and it also cools the walls enough so we don’t keep getting that warm bake from the residual heat in the bricks. There is enough cooling capacity that we leave the door open and it cools the corridor and a bit down the stairs, the hottest area in the house.Sound - The unit is over-specced for a bedroom - which means it runs on low fan speed more and turns on the compressor less. If you are used to a totally quiet room, It would be too noisy for most people to sleep in. We live in a busy area so it provides more of a white noise background rather than nuisance. Using the decibel app on my iPhone standing 1 metre in front of the unit it averaged about 56dB when max cooling, 52dB with low cooling, and 47dB with only low fan on. All of that is lower than than the traffic noise when the scooter went past in the first photo.Appearance - The form factor seems pretty standard for the power of the unit and the gloss white and silver make it fit in with usual appliances. Not as ‘designed’ as our dyson fan but the colours are complimentary. Its heavy, over 30kg, but the casters rolled easily over our timber and short carpet. Wouldn’t travel over a rug so people with really plush carpet may struggle to move it around single handed.Controls: The remote is easy to use and the buttons on the machine are helpfully labelled the same standard symbols. The sleep function isn’t that great, it’s probably trying to be too clever with the temp control. We just turn the fan speed to low and set a timer for 1 hour instead.

Does exactly what you need it to do
We needed an a/c unit for our bedroom which gets incredibly hot in the summer months. After looking at a multitude of reviews, we settled on this one and so far, so good. It is a heavy unit so not ideal if you need to keep on moving it around, even though it is on wheels, but getting it up and down stairs for example is very difficult. However, once it is set up, on its lowest temperature setting, our bedroom is ice cold within minutes. It even gets so cold that we need to turn it off rather than sleep with it on all night and there is a timer setting to help with this. My only real criticism is that the plug cable is very short, as is the extractor hose, which really limited where we could put the unit, as the instructions tell you not to use an extension cable, but if you simply want a unit that cools the room down effectively, this is the unit for you.

A cool aircon unit
A very nice portable aircon unit, cools down the room nicely. It is noisy but that is to be expected. Due to the consistent noise I'm able to get to sleep with it on as opposed to a fluctuating noise which would be harder to ignore. Smart features are useful as I am able to turn on and off when not home saving energy costs. Unit did come in a damaged box however the only thing which was damaged was the hose which the seller replaced with no issues. Very happy with the product and seller.

Air conditioner continues to run after desired temperature met
The media could not be loaded. I can’t contain my frustration at this product. Why does it continue to run after the desired temperature is reached? My friends have air-conditioners which simply stop. Why doesn’t this one? Generating a whole lot of noise needlessly. Well, I’m not hanging around to find out because I’m returning it for a full refund.

Very good indeed
ALLAIR Portable Air Conditioner 3-IN-1 12000 BTU. I bought it two years ago and it still works well. I can easily monitor when to turn it on and off while away from home to keep my 'animal room' at the right temperature during UK "heat waves".It works fast, has adjustable fan, and doesn't dry the air out which is important for my animals (looks like it dries the air when it cools it, but then when it reaches the correct temperature, it somehow humidifies the room automatically, which is AWESOME). It's quite big though, I might get a smaller one as the room is not too large.I do recommend it! :)

Easy setup and does what it should
I like the design of the product and it isn’t too noisy. Great integration with Alexa and can also be controlled through my Tado heating system app.
