Breaking Bad: The Complete Series

Before buying this I had only seen one or two episodes of breaking before. So, in order to almost promise myself to watch this series after being recommended it several times by multiple people, I bought this.So first, let's talk about the show before talking about the product. This show is regarded as one of the best shows of all time and I agree with them. The show is about a chemistry teacher who starts cooking meth after a cancer diagnosis. Throughout the five seasons, situations escalate and get more and more tense. That's all I want to say about it as I truly think the less you know about the story going in the better.Now, let's talk about this product. Of course, this is a Blu-Ray format disc so you get clear 1080p resolution. As this TV show started in the late 2000's, it gets more and more high quality in terms of video the later the show goes on. The first season is noticeably grainier than later seasons. But, it is still clear.The packaging of this product is okay. The outer casing's quality is nothing special as to the right is where all the season's cases are stored however, they can slide out freely if tilted which can be annoying. I think an easy way they could've solved this is to have a open able cover on the side. I do like how each season has it's own case even if it's not standard Blu-ray sized cases and instead smaller cases. It even includes a 2-hour documentary on the making of the last season which is an awesome addition.So, all-in-all I recommend this product as the show is one of the best, includes so much content with director's commentary, bonus features, all the episodes, and even a documentary!

Have been watching and the disks seem to be clear of scratches!Half way through season 2 already and have not had any issues with skipping, not playing etc what so everReally happy to have this !

So, I got the newer version of the Blu-Ray set after all the bad reviews on the packaging and how they are shipped. I do have to say the new packaging seems like it would be better, however there were multiple issues. First, it now comes in the clamshell style case which is all plastic and fairly large. The down side with these cases is that it can be a bit tricky to remove the disks from this style of case.Second and most important, many of the discs had circular scratches on them, I assume from the case itself, or it happened in their old cases that they were transferred from. Any blu-ray owner will know, the most minor of scratches can destroy these disc, ESPECIALLY if they are circular like that. If the scratch is up and down, it's less likely to cause a problem, but if it goes along the track where the laser reads, it makes it unreadable.Thankfully, most of the discs were read okay and I was able to rip nearly everything off of them, however 2 of the discs from Season 4 had episodes I could not rip because the scratches were so bad. Luckily, these are standard blu-ray discs used for all the releases, so I can go on ebay and just get replacements for $10 instead of the hassle of sending the whole set back and risking getting a worse off set.The most gross part is, several of the disc also had fingerprints and smudges on them. I don't know if this was previously returned, or if this happened during the transfer process when they were moved from the old case to the new case, but you would think they would wear gloves for this, but I guess not.The long and short of it is, the new repackaging can be better, but it's possible it is causing the discs to be scratched, I just do not know.

I LOVE this Series! I thought it started out slow but I gave it a chance because my daughter was so into it and it got me so hooked I had to binge watch every time!

There's a reason these copies are so cheap. I've ordered two of these and both have had problems. The first "new" copy was in a condition that looked like it had been kicked down a few miles of gravel road and was frayed in a way that suggested water damage. Most of the discs inside were scratched, some had stuck to the cardboard sleeves to the point that when you took them out, print from the sleeve was stuck to the bottom of the disc. The second "new" copy had a case in slightly better condition and no apparent water damage. However, most of the discs were also scratched, and several had been glued into the sleeve so that when I finally managed to remove it, the paper from the cardboard sleeve peeled off with it. The first season was also the French language version, not English. Look elsewhere for a box set. You very much get what you pay for here.

I binge watched the series about a decade ago and I enjoyed every episode.
