I dont like the flavor of regular Sriracha but this stuff is way different. It adds an actual flavor and some heat without being overbearing. Its kind of sweet - works well on breakfast burritos or anything else really. The sweetness makes it a bit weird on things youd normally put hot sauce on like wings but its still very good IMO. Ive bought several bottles over the last year or so and the only thing is the heat can be different from batch to batch. Thats to be expected with 'small' batch stuff like this and is actually printed on the bottle. Im not a pepper head but can tolerate moderate heat. This stuff has never been overbearing or made me reverse blow (unless you drink a spoonful then its a bit spicy) and adds just a bit of heat. We always have a dozen or so hot sauces on hand and while I do like some heat, I hate the stuff thats just hot without flavor. I also hate the stuff thats so hot you have to reverse blow or need a drink or that leaves your mouth pouring out saliva non-stop. That just makes it unenjoyable. This stuff has flavor. Ive tried almost all of their flavors and I like them all. Their jalapeno is great and about the top of my heat level while still being enjoyable. The habanero is pretty hot. Tasty but only need a few drops. Its borderline too hot for me especially if you squirt it on all over. That one starts to be just heat and no flavor for me at least.

I was really impressed by the rich smoky flavor of the roasted ghost pepper. Also, they don't thin down their sauces with vinegar. This sauce has a thick viscosity, and balances heat with flavor. Add to cart.

Edited 12/2/18: My obsession continues unabated. I still think this is the best hot sauce ever.I mix it with a little mayo and use it as a sandwich spread. I add it to chilli, spaghetti sauce, soups, and stews. I love it with scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. I've been known to put it on pizza and pasta. I've even taken it with me to restaurants because I hate the standard hot sauce, like Tabasco, available there. It's great with pho or Mexican food!I'm addicted!Original review:I am obsessed with this hot sauce. I put it on everything. I used the Secret Aardvark hot sauce for years, but the Yellowbird Habanero has surpassed it as my favorite hot sauce. Aardvark is tomato based, so it has a stronger flavor profile than this sauce, which isn't always a good thing. I don't mean to imply that Yellowbird is all heat, no taste, but the taste is really clean and light; you get just a tiny hint of sweetness, followed by a burst of heat, and then a citrus finish. Citrus (especially lime) is my favorite flavor; I eat it with everything. Yellowbird Habanero has just that hint of lime (it also includes tangerine juice) to make me happy.As for the heat level, that is so subjective I'm not sure how to rate it. I love spicy stuff and put hot sauce on everything, but I still like to taste my food. Yellowbird Habanero is a perfect heat level for me; it definitely has a good kick, but it's not overwhelming to the point that your mouth is burning and you can't taste anything. It has about the same heat level as the Aardvark; it's hotter than Sriracha (and much better).I have also tried Yellowbird's Jalapeno sauce, which I really like (it's not as spicy as the Habanero), although the Habanero remains in top place. I wish I could buy the Habanero in a multi pack, because I go through it like candy.

This used to be better. Became my favorite hot sauce when Aardvark got all watery and weird years ago. Sadly, this sauce has also changed. It's not bad. The spice is nice and the flavor is really good. It just doesn't light up the tongue like it used to. If you are Just looking for a tasty sweet medium heat habanero type sauce then grab this and you won't be disappointed. As for me, I'm moving on.

Finally a ghost pepper hot sauce with a "kick" AND FLAVOR. Similar great flavor as two of my favorites: Del Taco & Taco Bell sauces, but with a "creep up on you kick" ! Yummy hot sauce on Steroids! 😁 ... no need to go to Taco Bell anymore, for their hot sauce. This one = $14.99 for a large 19.6 oz, convenient soft-squirt bottle ! Gonna try the Habanero one next.
