Yes, I believe it comes with the cable. I got this for my mom last Christmas so I don't have it with me to check but I remember it came with a cable. My mom is 90 and she said it was the most beautiful Christmas decoration she ever had. She just stared at it all night.

No, it doesn't have any timer. Beside our store, All the lantern in other store doesn't have the timer either.
