Light easy to handle
Fit in a pot use for frying when needed. Also great as a colander

Nice
Nice product but makes a popping noise when it's inserted into a larger pot and the water starts to boil.

Well-made Stainless Steel Fine Mesh
I use this in my pressure cooker to hold the pinto beans. I bent the handle, on purpose, with difficulty, back over the container, so it would fit inside my pressure cooker. I like the way it holds up, perhaps it will last my lifetime.

Not good for pasta
The holes on this strainer are too small for boiling water. The bubbles will be suppressed until pressure builds up to burst through the holes. It splatters boiling water everywhere. Just a poor design for pasta, probably fine for deep frying. I found another strainer for pasta where the holes are just larger and so it doesn't burst bubbles through. Cost more but it includes a hook to hold over the top of the pot for drainage. A better idea.

Does the job
Works good, however I don't like that it sits at an angle in the pot due to the positioning of the handle. The handle should be higher.

Good price, but boiling water flees the pot with wild abandon
I bought this for occasions when I need to make a lot of pasta and want to keep the boiling water in the pot for the next batch.Pros: It sits low in the pot so you can use less water. It was considerably less expensive than other brands.Cons: Perhaps this is specific to these products in general (this is my first one) or perhaps it’s because it doesn’t sit flat in my pot (the elbow in the handle is down a little too low and sits on the inner rim of the pot, holding the bottom up too high), but the boiling water comes out the top of the pot and gets everywhere! Lots of water, not just a few splashes. So, it’s adequate for occasional use, but that’s it.
