This lamp may be a replica but it's a good one. Sturdy, pretty and useful!The actual lamp part is a little delicate, but it screws up into the lantern body so it's protected and easy to remove and fill. This price for this quality is a good deal.

These lanterns are not of good quality. I first received these lamps and they are beautiful. Upon first lighting they quickly become too hot to handle and it is very difficult to get the oil reservoir out of the base (which has to be done to turn the lamp on and off). The tops of the lanterns discolored to a rainbow appearance within the first few moments of use. The oil reservoirs leak horribly. If you want to pay an outrageous price for a product that cannot be used as a lamp but only for decoration then go ahead and order but if you want a functional lantern do not order these lamps.

Absolutely outstanding piece of nautical decor ! When you light it indoor or outdoor it gives you unforgettable feeling of adventure, warmth and intimacy.. If you can afford it - you will never regret to have such a nice reminder of nautical history in your home. This is my second oil lamp, and I enjoy it. Just be careful with the top, when burning ! A lot of thanks to Amazon and Seller !

My bottom doesn’t screw on!. Look it it would leak every where. Using as decor. Not sure if there is a piece missing that screws the bottom in. Thin small metal bar like a long pin. Doesn’t do anything

The lamp has to be taken out of the lantern in order to adjust flame and to turn out the flame.The case gets so hot it's nearly impossible to manage even with oven mitts.It can also heat up a small room pretty fast.Basically impossible to clean the inside of the glass.It's best to just let it sit for eye candy and use conventional lanterns to burn.

This is a gorgeous lantern. I love it and wholeheartedly recommend it. (to seller-one of the tiny screws that holds one of the side strips on is missing on my lantern. I just opened it recently as it was a special gift. The screw was no where to be found in any of the packaging though I was able to shake the nut out of the lantern. Not very functional. But it sure is pretty! Whenever I give a tour of my house people always comment on this! It’s a looker!

My first came with a broken screw. They replaced it. The second one leaks bad and discolored where the oil touched. Since I bought this and haven't used it till my camper was done it is too late to return. It was a waste of a large amount of money !
