Saunders Sacroiliac (SI) Joint Support Belt, Medium (Waist: 32" - 42")

I've been wearing this for 8-9 months just above the hip creases for at least a couple hours almost daily. My low back pain is gone. The anti-slip grip is very effective and can be a little uncomfortable on bare skin after a few hours, but I guess that's the tradeoff for zero slip. A few times I felt worse after wearing this and I think this is why: sometimes when I was pulling the belt tight using the rectangular D-ring for leverage, it was pulling my SI joints apart. So now after I pull it tight, I run my thumbs under the belt from front to back along each side, like I'm letting the SI joints back together, and that takes care of it. I also had some success with placing the D-ring in the back closer to the sacrum, but I haven't had to bother with that since I've been running my thumbs under the belt from front to back. My long term plan is to strengthen my core and hip muscles a ton so the muscles will hold the SI joints together, but until then, this belt has been my solution.

It’s nothing fancy but it has worked well for me! The gripping on the inside keeps it from sliding up pretty darn well! I was having horrible SI joint pain from pregnancy and it helped keep my hips from hurting as I bend and stretch around. I wear it super low on my hips so it doesn’t interfere with my growing belly except for when sitting, sometimes I loosen it if I’m going to be sitting awhile. But then again nothing is comfortable pushing on a pregnant belly so it’s no fault of the belts. It’s only become a little uncomfortable when sitting now and I’m 7 months along.

I wore this belt for about 3 hours, and it did give excellent support to my lower back, and decreased the pain in my SI Joint. However, soon after I took it off, a very itchy welt developed where the strip of silicone was on the belt - this strip is to keep the belt in place against skin. Now days later, I still have to take an allergy pill to stop the welt from itching, it literally goes the way around like the belt did.Does an excellent job but please test first for allergy. I tried the belt with a clothing barrier but then it doesn't stay in place.

I like that it is fairly thin and undetectable under clothing. It is soft, the silicone prevents it from slipping, and the material is soft against the skin.I’m having great relief from pain due to sacroiliac instability. Im about to buy another one so I can have two.Edit - I should say that I am a woman and my husband and I share one account. So even though it says Bruce, this is Mrs Bruce. 😊

This belt works for the most part. It is Velcro so you have to keep it clean from debris or is doesn’t stay closed. My belt is only two months old and the seam came undone. I will have to sew the bottom seam. Overall it has the support but it won’t last years. Hopefully you will heal before the belt comes apart.

This is the second time I have tried this belt. The first on lasted almost a month before the metal piece twisted. Once the metal piece twists, it does not stop and only gets worse. The issue with the metal piece twisting is that when it twists, you loose the compression on your joint. - meaning you loose the benefit of wearing it. With that said, this belt was a life saver! It relieved so much of my pain that I was willing to accept having to buy a new one every month, so I ordered this second one. I was so excited and relieved to have my belt back, but this one twisted after only 2 days of wearing it. It is just not reasonable to order a new $20 belt every other day.I also do not understand why the small belt is more expensive than the other sizes.

this one works very well when in (sciatic pain shooting from the back to the side buttocks down to back of calf kind) pain. after hundreds of $ on other different braces and supports (ranging from just okay to works well), i am so glad with THIS SIMPLE ONE that stopped the pain THE BEST! i control the (tightness) pressure with ease. it stays in place where i need the squeeze at the hip (no rising at all). i where this on under underwear so it does not effect when i gotta use the bathrooms quickly times! this is the maintenance fix while in sharp pain mode. i still constantly have my chiropractor put my spine in place (root problem), home alignment gadget and inversion board whenever possible throughout the day.

I've been wearing this belt for a few weeks now, and I think it is helping. I have hyperactive sacroiliac joints from pregnancies and a twin pregnancy, which has caused inflammation in my hips and a lot of pain in my lower back, hips and groin areas. I'm wearing this belt to stabilize my joints, so the areas around it can heal. I'm using the belt in conjunction with physical therapy exercises. I'm finally hopeful after dealing with this pain for a long time. I actually ended up exchanging the small for a medium belt. My size is kind of between the small and medium, but the small was definitely too small. The company was a little slow exchanging it. But, the product itself is great.
