Fits well, very comfortable for day hiking
These are great boots! They fit true to size - I wear anywhere from a 9 to a 10 women's shoe and the 9.5 fits me perfectly. I bought them specifically to wear on a 25-mile day-hike. They were very comfortable the whole way through. I had very minimal blistering on a couple of my toes and my heels, but I could have avoided that if I had used moleskin patches under my wool socks. In my experience, Keens have a wide toe-box, which is great if you have a foot that's a little wider than "standard" like I do. My toes don't feel smooshed and cramped, but my feet also don't slide around like they would in a too-wide shoe. They're relatively lightweight, sturdy, and comfy. I live in Western New York where it snows quite a bit for half the year, and while these won't do as true winter boots - not insulated - they've been working out great when I just need to head out for a few quick errands and don't feel like pulling on my big ol' Columbia snow boots.. the tread is wonderful and I haven't had any slips or falls in them.**EDIT: I forgot to mention the lack of break-in time! The very first time I wore them was for that 25 mile hike - a stupid move, for sure, but wow did I really luck out with these boots.. they really, truly, and honestly do not require breaking-in.

Comfortable from the start
Not the most "sexy" looking boots, for sure, but definitely great for hiking the awesome national parks! When I first put them on, they seemed a little bulky. However, the "bulk" is what actually made them so comfortable. They have a bit wider toe box, which I like, but still fit my narrower ankles just fine. They required no break-in period. I used the insoles that came with the boots and they worked well, which is great for someone like me who has issues with plantar fasciitis and other foot pain. Though my feet were a bit "heavy" after 8+ hour hiking days, I had no pain. These boots also seem waterproof. Only time I felt actual water was after stepping in a creek that was deeper than expected and water went over the top of the boot (totally my fault). Otherwise, I walked through some pretty thick mud, moderate puddles, and shallow creek beds and they worked well. Good traction. Not sure how they'd do in deep snow, but I'm not sure these are made for that since they are only mid-height anyway? The rounded toe is pretty ugly, but I was quite thankful for the rubberized protection when walking over rocks and boulders. Definitely recommend these boots. You get what you pay for, and these are worth it. And these are true to size. I wear a size 11 ladies in both running shoes and tennis shoes, and I ordered a size 11 in these...perfect fit.

Pretty decent, comfortable.
I will preface this review by saying that I wanted keen shoes because of the wide toe box and good tread pattern. I have had both good and bad experiences with keen shoes. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in a boot within keens selection- I would've preferred a higher ankle but couldn't find a decent boot with a higher ankle that was also mostly rubber (vs mesh). My boyfriend was able to find such a boot within their selection, but not I. This is the best option I found... and I do like it overall. It is waterproof, ventilated and durable. Great treat and very comfortable- they dont squeeze my feet. I ordered the size I usually wear but they were a bit too large. It's okay because I will wear thick wool socks to hike with and just lace them tighter. They dont slip up and down my heels. There really isn't any ankle support and these wouldn't be good for winter (the snow would get right in because they are not tall). I took them on a 6 hour hike immediately and did not need to break them in at all which is a HUGE plus. Breaking in shoes is so tedious and can be painful. Although a barefoot shoe would be better for your foot strength, the arch support is not overwhelming and they are very comfy. One major gripe I have is that the top 2 eyelets are PLASTIC. looks like ABS, not even nylon or pp... what a bummer. For such an expensive shoe you'd think they'd use metal. The rest are cloth which is fine.

Sturdy & Comfy
These are my first pair of actual/rather proper “hiking boots”. Got these for our vacation to Alaska. They’ve got great support and very comfortable. At first, they’d felt as if they didn’t fit as they were “placing” pressure on the sides of my feet, making those areas feel numb/painful but I figured out that was tying them too tightly. Once I figured that out, they felt great. I ordered my normal size, which is a women’s 8, and wore thicker/hiking/cushioned socks. As for them being waterproof, they performed wonderfully. I was able to walk through any puddles, traverse over muddy, snowy, icy trails, and even briefly stepping into shallow creeks with my feet remaining dry and warm. Their price is right and I’d definitely recommend.
