Worked first try
It flared the copper for my 4 ton heat pump very well first try. I pressure tested to 350lbs and vacuumed to 450 microns, no leaks. It is a little tricky to hold the pipe while sliding the stop out of the way and sliding the expander in. Overall quality is great. It seems solid, enough metal that isn't soft to hold up well. The detent that releases when expansion finishes is probably the most questionable part of the design. Over time it might start releasing early. Great value for DIY

Best flaring tool i have bought
I have been in the HVaC field for 15 years, I owned a HFreight flaring tool and a nice yellow jacket one. the yellow jacket was garbage from day one. caused a lot of problems. This tool is awsome, it has an automatic stop release so you cant over tighten, the pipe stop i figured i would never need but turns out it is convenient. I always lube the flaring tool with a single drop of zoom spout so it doesnt gall, and fastest easiest flares and most perfect flares i have achieved this fast.the handle is large so your not struggling toward the end, little physical force.its very solid. I believe this will last close to when i retire. I will buy this for my next one.Just to clarify i pulled my scrap 3/4,1/2,and 3/8 and flared all of those before posting this.

Nice kit
This makes it foolproof to make good flares. I just used this the other day to install mini split lineset. I needed a little longer than what I was given with the unit. I cut and flared both sides of 5/8 and 1/4 copper lines. This makes it simple the clutch on the flare tool pops when it's done. The die has a depth stopper. Only issue I had was removing the flare tool from the die it seems to stick at the end. The flares looked perfect and none leak. The tools seem like good quality and the case is great. The reamer has a spare blade in the handle. Definitely recommend

Nice Skirts!
30 Year HVAC tech/business owner here. Yep I have made countless flares since mini splits hit the market. I don’t like the flarespin, and the old block and tackle flare kit will work your hands to death when you have multiple flares at a time. This is a quality tool that makes a beautiful flare skirt. I stick just a smidge more pipe up in the block than what the depth gauge on it is set at. I like the skirt of my flares to just clear the inner threads of the flare nut. This ensures the maximum sealing face contact area of the flare. Again, great tool. The clutch releases at the set pressure so the copper is not splayed out too thin too.

Helped me get my mini split installed
I was originally going to order just the flare tool because I needed to flare the 1/4" line as part of my mini split heat pump install. I decided to buy the kit thinking that a decent tubing cutter and de-burring tool would be nice. First the cutter--it is mammoth, but worked fantastically! As for the flare tool, it wasn't clear to me how to place the flare tool over the block but I some got it on. The guard that ensures the right amount of pipe sticks through the block is nice. I did add a small amount more was was recommended by another buyer. The actual flaring operation went smooth and the clutch stopped from over pressing the pipe. This was a great buy--I was able to vacuum my system down to 170 microns and it works great!

Nice tool. A perfect flare always. I used it to install my mini split. First time and not regrets.
