PortmeirionPimpernel Exotic Botanic Garden Placemats, Set of 6

Hello Everyone please may I start by saying, I cannot understand how there could be negative reviews on these very pretty table-mats. The flowers are bright and cheerful and extremely tastefully done. They are large enough to take a 9 or 10 inch plate. For those who need a trough to eat out off these mats won’t be large enough 😂 sorry.! They match my Portmerion dinner service Perfectly. They did and will continue to have food spilt on them from time to time. Just use a warm damp cloth, wipes off and will be like new again. And Yes, they are made in China, beautifully made. Tell me what isn’t made in China nowadays. All in all very happy with everything the service from the seller and the product. Highly recommend both. Oh and no I wasn’t paid to write this review. got these for my dad cause his old mats had faded over the years. Beautiful, solid mats, well printed, lovely colours, lovely images. Came nicely packaged if you want to give to someone. Just a lovely quality set of mats that you'll enjoy and be very happy with if you like portmeirion or any kind of botanical illustrations:) been using them for a few months and all good - they look like they'll last well, and unlikely to fade ( at least not for years so that's fine:) ) glad I got them, as they look lovely. completely overused the word 'lovely in this review so apologies for that but kinda sums them up I guess:)

These table mats are exactly what I was looking for in terms of quality and design. They are thick and beautifully printed and look very good on the table. I would definitely recommend them.

Although very pretty and are of reasonable quality when the grandchildren came to lunch and spilt something on them the mark has remained making them look untidy.

Good quality placemats, with a plastic top and cork backing. They're a good size for place settings, large enough that even wide or odd shaped plates/bowls don't wobble, but not too large to crowd the table. The designs are clearly printed and a genuine match to the Portmeirion Exotic Botanic Garden chinaware range. They are rather expensive for placemats, but worth it if you want the authentic design, and I'm hoping they will last. So far they've been very easy to clean and look good with Portmeirion china.
