For a lot of music, these strings are phenomenal, they provide an inner voice to the guitar by allowing the trebles and inner harmonies to sing out over the basses compared to most types of string. The squeak of positional shifting on bass strings is heavily reduced. The basses sink into the background a little, which for a lot of things helps the melody sing through - perfect for balancing your solo guitar playing, NOT the best if you're after the loudest strings possible in ensemble setting for example.A little harder to bring out a bright 'melody' voice in the basses, and the feel does take some getting used to, but I'm a guitar student practising 3 hours a day, and these lasted a good 2-3 months of solid playing which is unheard of elsewhere.Purely for the value of these strings, they are worth it. I would have had to change strings 3/4 times for the length of this set.Do yourself a favour, and try them. The sound may not initially impress you because they don't have a big zingy 'wow' factor to them, but musically these strings create a balance that isn't often achieved amongst other brands.

These strings settle in really quickly, are easy to play, and have a smooth sound.The polished basses sit better in the overall sound of the guitar - I find them a perfect partner to Hannabach Goldin trebles.I play a lot, and there seems to be little sign of dulling after one month.
