Some info about the soft case
There's a ton of good info about the tool, but almost nothing at all about the soft case that this variant comes with. The bag has a wide mouth, rectangular opening with a zipper all the way around it. When you close it, the short ends drop downwards and the wide ends come together like a giant muppet mouth. Then the zipper is run straight along the middle--it's very easy to zip open or closed. Closed, the bag has an angled top; the peak of that is 7" tall. It's 8" wide by 13" long. In the images, I have the tool, the accessory box, and an additional box of blades I bought to go with it on the bottom--the 5-pack OSL005C. I may eventually store all the blades in the larger box that came with the tool, but both boxes fit in the soft case easily now, and as long as the 5-pack case holds up, it provides handy organization with no rattle. In the top-down picture, you can see that there's a decent amount of additional space in the bag for whatever else you choose. The interior is smooth sided--no pockets. I like the versatility of a soft case, particularly compared to the hard case for this tool, which stores the tool diagonally. I also didn't want to pay the premium for both the case and the assortment of Max-only tools that comes with the "C" variant of this model. I gambled based on the one decent photo I could find of the case, and I feel like I won. I really like the case--it's light weight, the handles make it easy to grab with something else, unlike a rigid case/handle, and if I want to, I can carry it unzipped. I won't ever fight to get the cord to lay flat exactly like it was when brand new in order to get the clamshell hard case latched. The tool itself is great; amazingly quiet and low vibration. While I appreciate cordless for something like a drill, I specifically looked for a corded version to avoid having a heavy, awkward battery pack at the tail, and the ability to use the full power of a corded tool with no charging hassle. The included power cord is 12 feet long--if you're working indoors, you're unlikely to need an extension cord. As other reviewers mention, it does come with the triangular sanding attachment, just no sandpaper. I don't know why Bosch does not list that as an included attachment, or include it in any of the photos.

Right tool, Right Job
Out of the box I was using the long blade shown for removing nails behind trim. This thing is a champ. At the lowest setting it cruises through nail after nail using the all-purpose blade included. I needed a tool that could reach behind historic house trim and cut nails with out risk to the trim. This specific tool/blade was the solution. Given that I am using the lowest setting, I am struggling to think what the full 5.5 amps would be needed for.. maybe sanding. I also specifically chose corded because of the power and simple use over batteries that die and cost additional money. If I was a homeowner and this was a few times a year tool.. I may go battery. Final review: This thing is the TITS!

This is a real machine -
I have tried other multi-tools and have a cordless Bosch but needed a corded solution to clean up flooring edges before installing a new floor - this was perfect -Its significantly quieter and smoother than many of the others and this higher powered one never seems to bog down - its equal to any task I tried. The StarLock mounting system seems like its clearly superior to previous mounting schemes - super fast and easy and a very positive grip on the tool. It instantly drops the blade when you pull the lever and the next blade just snaps into the mount with a slight pressure - snapping closed on the new tool.I used a scraper blade to cut away the flooring adhesive under the base molding and wood blades to trim door jambs and base that was too low.

Great machine if you are rich
This machine is great, but only uses patented blades that can cost$50.00 for one, and gen purposes blades will run for $11.00 each. No, we contractors cannot afford that. Leave for the high end finishers that charge $200 a hour.

Heavy Duty
Good heavy duty tool. On the pricier side but I expect it to last a long time. As far as it being a kit, you get a nice canvas bag, a small plastic box for blades and a sanding head. I expected a “kit” to have, at least, a few spare blades. The tool is a workhorse but on the heavy side, so a workout to hold over head for a long time.

GOP55-36
The blade release mechanism, soft start, variable speed, and long cord with swivel connection are great features. It comes with a sand pad as well. The tool is really rugged. The vibration is minimal.I wish this one had an LED light on the front like the GOP40-30.I wish the bag was a little bigger. That said, it works really well and I recommend this tool.

someone scammed us
Nothing like waiting for your new tool to arrive and open the box to see that someone has replaced your new $250 dollar 5.5 amp tool with a discontinued beat up used 2.5 amp model. I hate scammers.

A very versatile tool that's not dangerous.
I only dislike the fact that it wasn't invented 35yrs ago when I was stating out as a carpenter. This tool is a monster, recently I discovered you can cut ceramic tile with this tool with the right blade. I used a carbide blade but just to trim off an edge. Thats tough.Using a grinder is a much more dangerous operation. The good thing is you can draw 2 lines on a deck board that's rotted out and cut out that portion like a surgeon without worrying about a tool that will slip and cut off your fingers.Drop in a new portion of deck and save yourself a lot of extra work.If you have a nail or old screw that's stripped and won't come out, this tool is your answer. This latest version I just bought is great.Powerful and less dangerous.
