The holder base fits perfectly on the specified area and the phone sits nicely on it, however the roller that holds the phone drops if you are driving on a bumpy road especially if the phone is heavy.

I have an 08 335i convertible without i-drive, and realized immediately that there is literally no room for phones or GPS units in these cars! Found this holder and I'm really happy with it. I have a Samsung Note in the jumbo size with a metal plate on the back for magnetic mounts. This mount was east to install (if you're patient) and unobtrusive on the dash. Magnet holds the unit just fine and is very adjustable. Super happy with the purchase and would highly recommend it.

Love the Idea, perfect fit - a little challenging to instal but worth it. Black coating is very fragile barley touched it and made a mark. Powder coating it would be better. One day all magnets and parts show peeling and wear but not horrible. Love it but wish the quality was better. Still buy but very fragile

Difficult and annoying to install but it’s worth it as it’s probably the best looking mount you can get that won’t obstruct anything. Magnet won’t work on magnet inside your phone so you’ll have to use the magnets provided and works good.

Magnet is too small, your phone will slide off at the slightest turn. Good idea, but very poorly made.
