Putting in fenceposts?
fence posts? Price was about half of most, sturdier models... yet for a guy like me who needs to replace a mailbox or fence post infrequently, performs well without leaving my money just sitting in the corner of my garage ... does the job far easier than traditional post hole diggers... drawback is a handle attached by bolts that give it a "flimsy " feel .

Doesn't work, unless for *extremely* loose soil
The center part is VERY blunt, so this will not dig into anything other than extremely loose soil. If you hit compacted soil, sand, or clay it will spin in place no matter how much weight is placed on it.

does what it's supposed to
planted a couple trees this weekend. was able to cut through 1/2" roots pretty easily and handled small gravel pretty well. Opened up a good starter hole so the rest could be dug out fairly quickly.
