Premium Frameless Shower Door Bottom Seal Strip - Glass Door Side Seal Sweep (1/2” x 39”, Clear Vinyl)

Most frameless shower doors purchased from the "Big Box" stores are only 3/8" thick so this is the only size door seal you can buy from them. I do a lot of work on High End homes where thicker 1/2" shower doors are used, so finding the wider seals has been a challenge. I came across these on Amazon, I ordered two so I would have an extra for next time. The 39" length is nice because I never know what size door I will be working on. They trim to fit really easy, so I do it once they are installed. Prior to installation, take a new "construction" style razor blade and scrape the sides and bottom of the door where the seal will be placed. This will ensure a good tight fit and make placement much easier. Just a small word of caution; the sweep material is longer then on most seals, so please DO NOT assume the door will close without binding, you may need to raise the door or trim the sweeps a little bit to adjust the fit. If you do not check this and just push the door closed, you may not get it back open, so please take your time and check.

Cut to fit door easily

I ordered this to replace the old shower door sweep that’s over 10 years old. Quality of the plastic and rubber seems to be good.I had to use an heavy duty cutter to trim to desired length. The listing says a pair of scissors or a knife will work, but when I tried both ways, they didn’t do the job. Also, I had to trim the rubber strips since they were wider than my old one. I used a blade to trim. After customizing it, it seems to be doing its job. Good it’ll last a long time!

Cut the length down to size, slide it onto the glass shower door, and it fit perfectly to the door. Looks great! Will definitely buy again.
