I purchased this cable specifically to bring a USB 2.0 type B mic online for use. I actually made it a 'pretty much permanent' connection. The mic is the LyxPro HHMU-10 Cardioid Dynamic USB Microphone. It's a good mic, but the USB Type-B connection was wobbly; it kept falling out or disconnecting. Aggravation led to innovation.I found this USB 2.0 A-Female to B-Male cable and married it - as I love to do cross-pollination from various fields - through an eBay dealer, to a Honda Motorcycle Wiring Harness Loom Connector/ Cover; size, Small: a pliable but strong rubber cap that fits on top of a solenoid or rotor cap (for spark plugs) to cap-n-seal the USB 2.0 B-Male -seated and connected to the mic -to the end of the mic, by slipping it up-and-over for a very tight friction fit.It took some serious shoving, wrangling, wiggling and grunting... even after putting a touch of soapy-water on both the ConnectorCover and the USB Type-A Female outside; but I finally got that puppy to edge through. I seated the Type-B Male to the mic, then used the same 'soaped-up technique' to get the ConnectorCover to edge up-and-over the end of the mic for a tight fit.Once the light coating of detergent evaporated, I had a solid-as-I'd-expected/hoped-for - and then some - fit. It now works like a charm. Perfect for this, very-out-of-the-box application. Couldn't have done it without this cool; surprisingly hard to find; cable USB combo. Kudos!

Just what I needed!
I used this cable adapter to go between my USB hub and my USB data switch. It is well build and does the job for me. I was glad to find this hard-to-find adapter!

THESE ARE CABLES
It doesn't get more straight forward that this. They are cables. They are the cables in the picture. Cable reviews are dumb. Buy these if they are what you need.

Not OTG compatible, bad for MIDI
These were not compatible with my digital piano. After some research it seems that they are not USB OTG compatible and therefore unable to be used with MIDI output. If you are buying to use with a keyboard, piano, or other music device you should look at other options that are OTG compatible.
