Decent quality and worked perfectly for my latest dives. Not sure if carbon fiber seems like black fiberglass. But for theprice it paid for lunch on first go around.

i love the spear no question about it ( i already have a few) but with the last shipment no elastic was in the box. so plse send us a elastic.. thanks

This is not carbon fiber like you expect, but is pultruded carbon fiber. This is made differently and all the fibers are unidirectional (straight line), which to my understanding isn't as strong since there is no weave of strands. Also, depending how dense it is will determine it's strength....or lack of. I returned it.

This is a great pole for lionfish hunting, it's sturdy and light, however it does have an 8mm male end, so I recommend purchasing the 8mm to 6mm adapter to open up your options to most paralyzers on the market. It will rust slightly but doesn't affect much and is common with dive gear

Loved it just the barbes bent after a while of using it but had fun
