Squirt bottle still needed
A squirt bottle is still needed. I really like this iron, but it doesn't get as hot as I'm accustomed to. The iron is light, the steam is good, but not good enough to get good wrinkles out of cotton. The active board is okay. The fabric being blown away from or sucked to the ironing board isn't that useful to me. It's a lot of money for a light iron. I'm going to buy a steam press next for jeans, sheets, and pillow cases.

Sleek and super effective
This iron is exactly what I expected from a Laurastar iron. Not only does it look amazing in my laundry room, but it saves me SO much time doing my ironing. I would highly recommend this iron!! So easy to use and still does an amazing job.

You dont go back once you have experienced this item and saves on plastic from dry cleaning.
12 years ago, I was blessed to get a 'prototype' professional ironing board not that dissimilar to this one. I loved it and would never go back to a 'normal' iron. However, I never saw it again and once our old one was showing issues I did a deep search and so happy to find this item! yes, it is expensive, but once you have the experience, you dont go back. Makes ironing so easy.1. the steam will work with the motion and will auto stop as soon as the iron stops moving after 10 seconds2. the 'puff' feature is great for blouses, dresses - worth getting3. there are 2 buttons on the iron that allows you to i) add more steam for linen or strong cotton chinos and ii) choose either the air blow option4. the water feature-tank is an improvement from my old 'prototype' where i can fill water as I need and not have to wait until the machine cools down.5. there is an addition plate to place on the iron for delicates.6. the fold up that includes the iron is so efficient and reduce a weak point [my prototype had a separation attachment of the iron - created a weak attachment point that eventually failed]Few down sides:1. is moving the iron from one room to another. I am not strong and not tall, so there is a wee struggle - thankfully, hub does the heavy lifting, literally.2. I need one notch lower for shorter people. I am at the lowest level and could benefit from another inch lower3. the iron cover needs to be put on when it is at its final location - wasn't easy to put on as free standing.I am just so happy to get a new and improved ironing: i splashed out to get this limited edition. With what I ironed last year - it paid for itself and I reduced the amount of plastic from dry cleaning. a win-win for me.
